KoS M I’m not using the right rod for jigging in this video 😅 you really want a light jigging specific rod for this. Something designed for 20-80g jigs. You could check out Major Craft rods as a spin gear option. I was using a Shimano Stradic Ci4 3000 which is a good size reel for what I’m doing. And any light braided line will work. Nothing more that 20lb rated braid. I was using Berkley fireline 14lb. 😎
bro have you ever used a JBL spear gun and would you recommend it for spear fishing down the island? and if possible can you do a video where you compare and contrast some of the different spear guns with what you think would be their fitting application.
Chris Sankar not sure if I’ll do a video on that anytime soon but I’m not a fan of JBL. I’ve used them a lot in the past and always had issues. The best guns you can buy locally is Riffe but they also cost the most. If you’re looking for something that’s more cost effective you should looking into Rob Allen guns also sold locally. Good luck. Dive safe 😎
Nigel Sookdeo Mako 17’ and she’s got a Yamaha 85 pushing her. Runs and handles really well for its size. But at the end of the day it’s still a 17ft boat so we’re limited on certain missions 😎😂
I went in reel tackle for the first time a few days back to pay for a Stradic I ordered and got the last micro jig they had but I'm pretty sure I'll lose it after the first use because I'm that bad lucky
Kevon Narine oh! Gotcha. I don’t do that kind of fishing often but yes, you’re gonna want to use a running sinker when targeting snappers such as, Cubera, mutton, dog. It’s works for Lane snappers and American Snappers too but not as critical while targeting those last 2 species.
Nobody owns that same SEA u fishing inn, and u having a page for ppl to comment by asking, don't see why ur holding back from giving details of where is dat spot..
Luc ramsundar locally- reel tackle in TTYC and Mankee in wood brook. I do a lot of shopping online too. Most of the tackle I got in the video is outside of Trinidad because the shops never used to bring them in. But they’ve since started to bring in a lot of Tackle I prefer to use. I guess the market must be growing for it locally. 🤷🏻♂️
Excellent stuff in an amazing setting...next time if you're on a solo mission gimme a call and I fly across the Atlantic to do the fishing and you can concentrate on the filming.. 😀😀😀

Can you do a video on how you determine, when to surf fish (tide, current, etc)
Sure, I can definitely consider doing that in the future.
That and a basic guide to using lures jigs and jogging technique wud be awesome
Lucky you on the rapilla. I notice you don't use any fish finder around the isle any reason why?
Sebastien sebastienparejo@hotmail.com mainly because we don’t have one installed 😅😅
Somebody is a fan of up 🤣
I glad someone gets my references!! 😂😂
Like that boat neat size. Can you give a run down on the boat specs and engine size?

What rig setup do you use to catch Snapper?
I don't have any specific rig set up for snapper to be honest. But I'm not sure if I understand exactly what you mean when you ask that qustion.
Sorry I should of elaborated a bit more, in terms of setting up hook, sinker etc.
Will a running sinker set up work with catching snapper?
