Thanks for using my photo of Syd Booth's Record Shop. The photo was taken just before Syd Booth's was taken over by Revolver Records. The end of an era!
Right infront of Priestic road school, in a cutting under where the astroturf is now! used to run under northern bridge one way and out across towards stoneyford road and down teversal trail the other.
I have a 1930 Austin Seven Swallow saloon which was supplied new by Gaunt's Garage in Outram Street. I am trying to trace where in Outram Street the garage was and hopefully find a photo of it. Any help would be appreciated.
My dad's got a painting done by a local artist of the old sutton railway station hanging in his living room up in Norway, amongst other stuff. Isn't Asda (previously finefare then gateway) older than 1978 though? Sutton centre school didn't exist in 1970 though, I went there myself in the 90s and remember them teaching us abit about the school, it wasn't built till about 75 as I recall and it was thrown up then, hence why it was in such a poor state when I was there.
