I couldn't agree more! I was dating a guy and everything about him, from the dates he planned to the things he said, seemed to make him the absolutely perfect guy until a couple weeks in when red flags started rapidly showing up...my friend sat my a.$.s. down and forced me to watch this, and I swear I was dating this psycho! It helped me to recognize all of his manipulative behaviors!

What they don’t realize is she was playing the character the way the real woman is! I thought Eric B was great too. He really made you hate him. Loved the article and the show.
Only just got round to watching dirty John last night. Watched from start to finish. It was so good! Eric bana is an incredible actor. I had to watch him in a normal interview afterwards as I hated him in dirty John. Love Connie too.
Debra Newell was really gullable. She married him after 2 months even though her gut feeling was to not marry him and then when she had evidence that he was a fraud she was afraid of him and decided to invite him back into her home. She caused her daughter, Tara to almost be murdered.
She didnt cause her daughter to almost be murdered. She was in love, and vulnerable. She had her blinders on and was trying to see the best in everything because she wanted her fairytale love.
No victim blaming… ever.. though I don’t get how she chose this monster over her daughters…doesn’t make sense…I don’t believe she caused her daughter to be almost murdered, terrible thing to say…

I was married to a psychopath. I blame myself for staying with him. I got into a comfort zone and I lost my self esteem. I was scared to leave. I married him even though I knew I shouldn't. I was insecure. This lady has been married 5 times. I went to counseling to help myself. Do I blame her yep!! She not only put herself in danger but she put put her daughters in danger. I did the same thing. I learned the first time.

She’s very talented but it’s nice to see how she normally talks. Debra Newell obviously had blinders on and has her own issues. But if you watch the tv show the way Connie talks the whole time she portrays her as just a ditz.
Connies character comes across very gullible though . She makes Debbie come across like a complete fool who actually must not care much for the safety of her family to be with this man. How many red flags does one need smh. It’s hard to watch this show, makes me angry at Debbie unfortunately.
Because she's innocent evil thinkers are evildoers and she is nothing but sweet. She never thought like that because her background and her family was very good upbringing. Very calm people very classy and luxurious. People will pick read up on it and eat her alive. I'm glad that when she fell off the horse she didn't stay down and she kept on trying. Don't we all play Goldilocks this one's too sweet this one's too hot and then eventually this one's just right. She didn't want to be a tramp and sleep with people so she got married and made a commitment I commend her for that. The firm believer and it's not how many times you get married that makes you look bad it's the reason why you had to get divorce if it wasn't your fault. It's not your fault it's a great thing to be asked to be married. I can see why people wanted to marry her right up
A lot of people mostly women are saying that she shouldn't have long hair extensions especially for her age. Just for the record that's her own hair. I've seen so many negative comments about her hair😮 Jealous women. She looks and dress is great and she's young
