So I got a new motherboard but the motor was still not turning. Turns out it was the cable after all.
Glad you figured it out, I kinda expected it wasn't the motherboard anyway I'm glad it's fixed now
Nice video again my friend 🇨🇾👍🏻
By the way, I now have a discord, we can help you with your 3d printer if needed, would love to see you there
Mine does work on the the other cable
The Extruder cable work on the axis motor
Even after i swap the motherboard cables
So where my issue would be
Hey buddy thanks for the video i will try that but as u no my motor does turn freely when no power but i power up it locks soi cant turn it but it juddering very slowly back and forth but doesn't feed the filament as i said the frist system worked great then stopped so i had brand new replacement system but not working unless i try your way.but i have order a new board n longer cables but i hve to charge the 2 middle wires over chris Cross them.same as the original E cable is.
Hi there. Yes, this is more like if you want to identify the issue, these will help you know if it's the motor, the cable or the board. Assuming your X stepper is working, this will help you narrow down the issue to an exact point and only replace that but replacing all of it should still do it. I hope you figure it out and get it fixed soon. Don't hesitate to ask if you have further questions. Thank you for watching
Do other motors not lock up? if only the broken one locks up with power on that could mean a broken stepper driver. If that driver gets hot to touch when powered on it probably is dead/something is shorting it.
@@MinePossuno buddy all other motors move :-)except the extruder motor all that does is juddering like it goes back n forth in small movements but doesn't pull the filament nor does get hot .
@@richardbrown9035 What is the halt message the printer said. That you mentioned in a another comment
@@richardbrown9035 Also do you have a multimeter. It could help to pin point the issue.
Also i notice on my screen i dont have extruder settings like u have??
You should, might not be in the same menu depending on the firmware version but it should be there under move
@@techs.passion sadly no I don't no how to to that my friend:-((I'm not very technical on stuff like that the new motherboard board will have the latest firmware on it I'm still using the original motherboard as I changed it over from the motherboard board as some 1 said it s the E chip that has burned out but when I did as u said try different stepper motor for example x or it says on the screen halted something something??I will try what u done on this old motherboard I am using I think its firmware is version v1.14.and the other motherboard board that I have when it was all working is version v4.2.2 the new board I'm getting is v 4.2.27.
@@richardbrown9035 Does the old board work fine? If it works maybe i or techspassion can guide you though a firmware upgrade? ;)
Thanks for trying to help @MinePossu
Firmware update video if needed th-cam.com/video/OqwusmWw97o/w-d-xo.html
Following your video I was able to diagnose the problem, and resolve it. Thanks for this informative video!
