Detect Dead can actually be used to find dead bodies you can loot. Its useful if you lose bodies in the tall grass like I do.
i never knew that actually, maybe its more useful than i thought
Detect dead is very useful I use it alot especially on vampires to find the crowd and healing hands is one of my favorite I use it to heal my enemies that keeps them in a fight longer@@oKappu2
Courage has a use to get fleeing enemies to stop running away like deer and rabbits.
I use courage all the time. I spam it on guards and other npc in friendly environments. For it's cost in magica corage levels up illusion pretty quickly. And out of combat your magica regen is so much higher making it easier to spam it.
Detect life is the only thing that made this game playable when my arachnophobia was at it's worst.
I'm not really a fan of trap oriented gameplay so I'm not a fan of those rune spells, but I believe they are intended to be used in a stealth mage build, because their best use is to place them in an already cleared area and then lure enemies into them.
Healing hands is actually a cool spell idea, the problem is that the way the follower system is designed, makes it kinda useless, the same with courage.
Those detect spells are useful for a stealth build because that way you can see where the enemies are before you encounter them and plan your next move instead of blindly running into the enemies.
I didn't even know that bound dagger exist, but I assume it's desinged for a mage stealth build.
The thing is, you can't even have more than one rune down at a time. So you can't even have the strategy aspect of that.
5. I love the bound dagger as a stealth mage/arcane assassin, but it’s basically worthless without mods to get it at the beginning of the game.
4. I like runes; again, if you’re running a stealth mage/arcane assassin, you can lay these as traps and guide enemies to them. I do find the fire rune to be the most useful.
3. Heal Other is better. That’s it.
2. I like using the Detect spells to help plan out engagements.
1. Eh it has its uses, but can ultimately kill non-essential friendlies once the effect wears off if they’ve taken enough damage.
Paralysis rune on stairs
Your welcome
@@matthews7335 Paralysis Rune is from AE upgrade. It is fun as hell and op as well.
You are using rune spells wrong and then complaining how bad they are. It's your use that is flawed. You never want to use runes during combat. You use them while exploring dungeons, casting them in front of you, then only venturing forward after your magicka has replenished to max. If you run into a group of enemies, you simply pull back, hitting them with whatever means of ranged attack you have, retreating past the rune. When enemies run into it, they effectively take free damage. Agree with frost rune being bad but for the same reason all frost spells in Skyrim are bad, so many enemies have cold resistance it's mostly useless.
Imo there are no 'good' or 'bad' spells in general. Each can be good or bad depending on conditions and play style.
Bound dagger is the best for a lightweight survival sneak assassin build. Its amazing and legit
bound dagger is great for assassin characters or any dagger build as ALL bound weapons share the stats with daedric weapons
Lydia runs all the time from the enemies of mine
No soells are bad it's you don't know what you are doing and Lydia can be killed very easily by your enemies in the game especially with her health and stamina is down you will see
Yes I spelled the word wrong spell
There are no expensive spells if you are good enough at your stats or gear.
well id say for general playthroughs where you dont go for the perfect optimizations (like i normally do when im feeling skyrimy lol) spells costs can get outa hand for me
@@oKappu2 Of course, many spells require specialization but they often reward it greatly. Like the "Harmony" (master illusion) spell - I think it is the most expensive spell in the game (or one of the most expensive at least) and it allows to clear whole dungeons from the enemies one by one and also it resets if you were detected pickpocketing someone - so it is also very good for a thief run.
It feels like you just took a bunch of spells you don't use nd dubbed them the worst because you either don't know how/when to use them or they just don't fit the way you play.
Even Heal Others is not really bad, just low level like healing. A lot of followers such as the mercenaries and people you befriend like Faendal/Sven and even Lydia are mortal, so in tight corridors healing them can be necessary.
Almost all followers are “protected” meaning they can only die to direct damage from the player, otherwise they go to a knee. This is why you can fusrodah lydia off high horathgar and have her be fine 5 minutes later.
pretty much yea
