- If you’re over 40 and looking to organize your weight training, this video is for you. We'll explore full-body workouts versus split routines to find what suits you. But first, hit SUBSCRIBE! Don't miss out on more helpful content.
💪 Full body workouts are great for beginners. Create a circuit with exercises for each body part. Start with one circuit, gradually increasing to three. Use machines or compound movements with free weights. Aim for three workouts per week.
⏰ When to switch to a split routine? Base it on recovery. If full-body workouts leave you fatigued, split it up. A push-pull split is a good start. Train 'pushing' muscles one day and 'pulling' muscles the next, with rest days in between.
A Split Routine gives muscles more exercise and rest, aiding recovery and growth. It also frees weekends for extra recovery. It's a transitional step to an advanced split routine.
💪 Keep up with gym work, nutrition, and rest consistently for muscle growth. Don’t delay-start your program now for lifelong better health and a leaner body. Share and subscribe for more tips! - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต
AWESOME advise Mr.Labrada, THANK YOU so much for taking the time to do this video and share it, PLEASE stay healthy and safe out there!
We are glad you enjoyed it!!!
I been doing full body for a long time at home and I'm an experienced lifter. I've done splits too.
I like the convenience of full body and if I workout two- three times per week, I hit everything 2-3x per week!
I do it a bit differently though. I only hit Chest, Back, and Legs. So I choose an exercise for each ( usually a basic exercise) and do them as a circuit/superset. If I need to catch my breath, I do. Also I do abs and calves in between.
I am 52 all of a sudden!...LOL. I don't feel there is a need to train shoulders and arms since they get enough work from the compound movements. Sometimes I'll hit them light, for reps. OR do a Squat press which is a great exercise which hits shoulders and everything else.
A benefit to this routine is I'm also into Mountain Biking and full body does condition me for it and also since I hit everything in one workout, it's not a major inconvenience if I ride one day instead of train. And actually my motivation to continue training is so I can keep riding which I enjoy even more these days!😉
Great. The main thing is that you are still exercising and doing what works for you. I am 53 and I train 4 days a week with a split routine.
Chest/Biceps/calves
Back/ triceps
Quads/ calves
Hamstrings/ traps
No more direct shoulder work. Maybe I will do them once every 2 months.
Keep it up my fellow 50 year old friend
Full body workouts have always been my favorite. I've done split routines but I've made my best progress on full body workouts. Now at 72, I respond to working the entire body at a quick pace. Building muscle and cardio is nice.
