Guy's Silly Question , But honestly what are you going to about the the fire Wall with the Clearance for the gear box and the the drive shaft tunnel !? or though not sure if this is the case in AUSSIE but are there plenty of wrecked RX8'S over there ?!, if so MAYBE you could do some surgery to the Tesla chassis and use / cut out the gear box tunnel and drive shaft tunnel from a rx8 wreck / then cut into the tesla and weld in the gearbox tunnel / drive shaft tunnel to the tesla chassis / As you see plenty wrecked / abandoned rx8s on the net ,from all over the world ... or tho I'm from NZ

Re-gen is actually very simple. In Tesla's case the electric motors are triple pole AC. So basically when you brake, a controller flips the poles to to turn the electric motors into generators. You know, just like an alternator. except instead of of a belt driving the generator, the momentum of the car is spinning the generators via the wheels. Incidentally, electric motors of that type have 100% torque at 0 rpm.
