    nice hoping to do that route this year and looking to get the 1290 R,how are you getting on with it,having any problems just scared to get one with what i hear about them!

    • @paulwildego7946
      @paulwildego7946  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Mark,
      I did just over 10,000 miles on my 2021 1290r and it never let me down once.
      I’m more dirt orientated and want to travel in some more remote places, so I’ve recently swapped it for a slightly lighter & known for reliability…Tenere 700 world raid.
      I do miss the on-road warp drive though!

    Hi, is the track doable with 90/10 tyres like Metzeler Tourance Next? Thx, Joe

    • @paulwildego7946
      @paulwildego7946  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Joe, it depends on your skills. A pro would have no problems on slicks but an amateur like me needs a little more grip. It’s a difficult question to answer

    • @paulwildego7946
      @paulwildego7946  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Scarletpimp72 I only didn’t want to give confidence to the rider on the tyres he mentioned as I don’t know how good he is.
      My personal opinion of tyres is to take the ones that will get you out of the most difficult conditions you may encounter.
      Which is why with my limited skills and riding the TET in Kent in winter I opted for the RALLZ front and back!
      They did the whole Spain trip too, all 3000 miles of it

    Spectacular. Great video. Do you think a road based adventure bike could do this trail? I an going in months time.

    • @paulwildego7946
      @paulwildego7946  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cheers mate.
      If you’ve done any off road before you’d probably be able to do it on any bike, bar a sports bike.
      Give it a go, you can always turn back if it gets a bit too much. Enjoy!

    hi Paul, where do you mount drone controller in follow mode

    • @paulwildego7946
      @paulwildego7946  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi David, I strapped it on the rear seat with Roc straps. Obviously risk the controller getting a bit scratched up but the screen sits lower than the edges so at least that’s fine.
      Cheers
      Paul

    Hi Paul. Just wondering how much off-road compared to on road is available in the Pico's. We're planning a trip there. 3gss and 1 Harley. Do we need knoblies or is most of it tarmac which obviously suits the Harley. Or will the Harley guy find himself alone for the 7 days

    • @paulwildego7946
      @paulwildego7946  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Frank. It’s road heaven around there, so many great routes to take. Off road is only by choice and it’s quite limited in comparison.
      If you want to ride the track in the video, download the Spanish GPX route on Transeurotrail website.
      Whether road or off road, the whole area is stunning.
      Enjoy!

    • @frankwilliams327
      @frankwilliams327 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for your response. Is it possible to do, let's say 4 days off-road without going over the road already traveled?

    • @paulwildego7946
      @paulwildego7946  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@frankwilliams327 if you do the Picos loop on the Transeurotrail then definitely yes. You’ll need very good off road skills for it though, some of it is (I’ve heard), extremely hard on the big bikes.
