- The Michael Kay Show, Aug 6th, 2020 - Don La Greca shares his top 5 surprise movie endings. Plus, spoiler alert if you haven't any of the movies that were mentioned on this list! Also, Peter Rosenberg had an issue with the previous list and Michael Kay chimes in on a discussion.
The fact that Michael hasn’t watch a second of one of the greatest movie franchise (number 5) just makes me lose my mind. At least watch the first 3!
Michael is an odd bird, especially with food
Star Wars is one of the greatest movie franchises ? No, a thousand times no
Coming from you means you probably don’t know the Saga.
Just sad lol Michael missing out smh
Yes, a thousand times yes. The original trilogy is fantastic. Episode 1 grows better with time and episode 3 was a solid movie. Rogue One was great, and episode 7 was a great start to a new trilogy but was not followed up very well. Adding in the Clone Wars, Rebels, Mandalorian, Andor... The cinematic SW Universe is obviously one of the greatest.
No franchise is perfect, they all have warts. And short of ones that stopped after 3, I can't think of one I would place ahead of it. Especially considering it is an original story and not adapted from source material.
Who the hell would think about don mattingly b4 they think about MJ when it comes to number 23
A die hard Yankee fan who grew up in the 80s? But that's about it. I personally fall into that category, having started watching baseball around 1987 and I grew up in a Yankee household, so I naturally became a Yankee fan. At that time, had you asked me who wore 23, I would have said Don Mattingly immediately. Today however, 23 immediately evokes MJ.
I love the drop. I'll die for this list.
Not exactly the Algonquin Round Table of cinephiles.
Shocked no one’s said The Shining
Saw, Shutter Island
"And he has not come close to that movie yet" jajajajajaja
The Rock and Fight Club better be on here
Seven should be on here
How about The Departed? Absolutely nobody saw that ending coming.
My goodness, I know, right?! I was shocked at the end when I saw for the first time!! I want and hope Don redo the list and narrow it down in the last 20 years. Because I have a lot candidates of movie. I appreciate your comment regarding this list, thank you.
Not so much if you saw or knew about the original. Plus, the last scene was partly in the trailer.
@@mst3k54 Well trailer is outstanding. The part where nobody didn’t see that coming including myself was what happen at 344 Washington Street near the end (I don’t want to say in detail or spoil because other people may have yet to watch that).
That’s my #1
Yeah that’s one of the biggest wtf moments ever
I wonder about Silence of the Lambs too.
How is it possible a movie man could not have seen or heard of Soylent Green? Especially, if you know Planet of the Apes. The ending of the Planet of the Apes film was changed from the book's ending. That is why Pierre Boulle, the original author, hated the movie.
3 is a big one beyond just Yankee boys
The departed should have been on the list
How does he not have Sleepaway Camp
One big flaw about this, every movies mentioned except one on the list are before 2000.
How is 3 not the most recognizable number in all of American sports not on the list.
The departed & Soylent green are musts
God that intro guy is the most annoying voice on earth
How is Empire not #1??!?!?
Is Don serious?
I find your lack of faith disturbing
God I hate that voice on the intro and the fake laugh
Soylent Green is a great ending but it’s just not on the same level of those other movies.
Usual suspect was great but Steven Baldwin is terrible in everything he’s in. Don’t disrespect signs & unbreakable btw
No Jacobs Ladder = fail.
Ol yeller
The Dark Knight
Oh c’mon. No
