Sadly, it doesn't look like I'll be having kids of my own, so I couldn't even fully imagine but loss has become normal for me at this point...lost my best friend(our families were best friends from the time I/my buddy was 8, my brother/ his brother was 11, moms were friends, all that...after he passed, she can't (or won't) talk to us anymore...and we aren't sure why. We've been through a ton of loss, too but we haven't ever shut anyone out. I wanted to remain in that family and it's like as soon as my primary connection died, the whole tree did. It's very sad...idk how to approach it. Sorry. It is totally selfish to be attempting to ask for advice when you've gone through such a thing. I lost my brother to gun violence during these horrible times. He was 20 years old. Just turned 20🥺December 13-April 7th 2020 Rest In Peace Tybius Deshawn Owens. We are still struggling and this song just makes it so much better. I cry alll the time & to make matters worse he was killed in a house by one of our cousins and they tried to cover it up! They all got arrested the next day. My mother lost relationships with people who she thought was better than they were and it’s crazy. Family isn’t family anymore. Please pray for us, and God bless those who have lost a loved one. Ik it hurts. 😔 I hope this pain gets better.

This tribute was a sad, yet healing moment in my community back in 1997. We were ALL stunned at the sudden loss of Tupac and then Biggie. College students, just trying to figure out life... Although the song is primarily a Biggie memoriam, (song by close friends and family), it was also bridge, bringing the East & West coast together. I lost my dad 3 days before my 16th birthday and buried him on it. I remember that day so vividly. Had breakfast like normal and talked about me being 16 and learning to drive. I went to church and came back you were gone. Just like that my life changed. I still feel that pain everytime I hear this song. I cant breath. Life isnt fair. I wish you could have met my boys. You and mom are together in heaven and I have each of you in each one of our boys. Keelan is so sweet and funny like you and Kai bug is so stubborn and fierce like her. I hope that you guys are proud of me.

My mother died two weeks ago. My mom used to sing this song to me when she was fighting through lymphoma. She died at 51 and she was the most heartwarming soul that existed in my life. This song brings me in tears wishing I could say goodbye everytime I listen to it. This song taught me atleast she’s watching over smiling down at me

I actually lost a family member last May due to covid and when my mom woke up, crying, I was curious on what happened and she told me that he sadly passed away. I didn't cry yet but when I was about to sleep, I silently weeped because its unexpected for us, he's the one who helped us if we have problems and seeing his pass away really affected their family and ours too. My dad lost his job after I joined the military and got super depressed and ultimately killed himself. My mom found him and called me at about 2am, she suffered for about 5 years until she ended up taking her own life as well. I’m 29 and I feel all the feels that this song encompasses every day.
