European Athletics officials were working overtime to accurately measure up these mammoth javelin throws.
Since the turn of the 21st century, the athletes in men’s javelin competitions have been producing incredible throws to amaze the crowds and claim victory at European Athletics events.
The five longest European javelin throws from this century have come from four top tier athletes; Antti Ruuskanen, Andreas Thorkildsen, Steve Backley and Thomas Rohler.
