Don’t do it. They do not inspect vehicles. Their customer service is trash. The max concession payment is 2400 bucks. They steal payments made against the vehicle after it has been returned (process took 3 months…of pure pain). Infuriating company. Use them as bargaining your trade and that is it.
My experience was basically positive because I was happy with the purchase (after PPI) and the fact I did not have to go to or deal with any dealerships. It took 1 month and a week to get everything completed including title and license. Be aware there will be minimal contact from the VROOM staff once they get your paperwork and financing completed. When I called or sent an email asking for a status for delivery or title I received no callbacks I was only emailed tracking links which had no details in the link. The tracking links were only updated when something was fully completed. My advice to anyone considering purchasing from VROOM just know you will need to be flexible and in town during the purchasing process for at least a month because issues may pop-up where you may need to do something, send something or follow-up on something.
When buying a vehicle you want it to go smooth and easy as possible. Carvana , Vroom and those sites are made to accommodate the customer in making the process easy and stress free. It’s definitely not either. No customer should have to wait a month for vehicle and financing to take place.
I’m still waiting for my truck. I’m never buying from Vroom ever again. They already got my down payment, money from my bank for the car and I signed all docs digital and paper. Customer service are always clueless and show no empathy. They keep telling me “well thats just an estimated delivery date”… how many estimated delivery dates are you going to give me, damn! We bought a Telluride from carmax 3 weeks ago and that was the best car buying experience I’ve ever had.
@Vroom last thing I’d want is talk to more clueless customer service. If you guys want to revive your online reputation, start with training your customer service. I had multiple estimated delivery dates… and one customer service rep said well it’s just and estimated delivery date. When my truck was delivered, he didn’t even know about the ETA date.
They sold me a car with no engine oil in it. Seized 1.04 miles after I took delivery at a nearby parking lot. They refused to fix it, swap it, or give my trade back. They bought it back and kept my trade. Still waiting to be paid for my trade. They took the car two weeks ago. Took them three weeks to pick up the busted car. Run. Away. from vroom

I just closed a deal on a hellcat from vroom so far so good. Within a week everything was done and the car is already shipped. Sorry about your situation though. Hopefully mine goes well
On November 11th the deal was done. November 13th the vehicle was shipped. Arrived at a nearby hub on November 24th and due to holidays and vroom being closed the carrier picked up my vehicle on the 27th and it was delivered on the 29th. So over all the experience was smooth although I would’ve liked shipping to be a bit faster they were keeping me updated on everything by email

They have cashed our banks check….And still no delivery date… we have called every single day for a month and every single day they keep saying 24 to 72 hours we will receive delivery date. 36 days in still no answers. Now they are saying there is A glitch in their computer system that keeps them from being able to mark the car as sold when all they have to do is just remove the car from the website since they have all signed documents and have cashed the check. Took over 2 months from the time I reserved the car to finally getting the check for the difference in my trade (5/29 - 8/07). Vroom can get absolutely fucked. The whole process was a shit show. I will never recommend that company to anyone and I will never deal with them again.

I don’t know if me living in Minnesota makes a difference or if locations and etc make differences. I hope they can get better because it’s seems a 50/50 with these experiences across the country. Can’t agree with this any more!. I purchased a car in May of 2021 to only wait until Oct to receive a tag. In my state you are only allowed 2 temp tags t”and then you have to file a complaint with the DMV to obtain another which was a lengthy process. Vroom kept stating that there was an error on the title (I’ve since learned that they use this excuse quite often). You would have thought that I learned my lesson but tried to give them another chance only to have issues this time with lost paperwork. They are extremely quick on calling you to get the initial sale and hold $ but you will then find yourself waiting for hours trying to get updates. Do yourself a favor and go to a Car lot and deal with someone in person.

I recently completed the process of a purchase from vroom. It was a NIGHTMARE. Paperwork changes and SLOW deliveries are ridiculous. If your business is based off if paperwork and delivery. You need to know how to do those two things.

My experience selling to them was great.I sold my 2017 GMC pickup to Vroom. They gave me 3K more then Carmax, Carvana or any local dealer. I was honest about all the dents, dings, and scratches. They gave me full amount quoted. Sorry to hear about your buying experience. I work at a dealership for 14 years. Dealerships are just as bad. Hopefully VROOM is just having some growing pains. This type of business is still new and at the moment its tough to find good help.
I purchased a car on Dec 4th 2021. Car missed 2 guaranteed delivery dates and showed up at the end of the month of Dec with a broken antenna., and Temp. plates that have expired on February 2, 2022. I have sent over 256 emails and it just falls on deaf ears. I did move forward and started a case with my DMV Investigation Division to Sargeant Jon Brooks. in the state of California. I have submitted over 150+ pages of information and their lack of follow through. I also submitted another copy to the State Attorney General office. They should not be allowed to do this to people. I have to keep up my insurance and keep making payments to Westlake Financial or they have the rights to pick up the car. and yet it sits in my driveway collecting dust and is Illegal to drive in the state of California.
I just think this criticism is misplaced. Sounds like the bank doing the financing refused the deal after underwriters failed to approve the loan amount. It's more a bank issue, not a Vroom issue. In car deals, they get soft approval from the bank, but it often takes a few business days for the bank to finalize the loan amount. In the real world, this is how people buy a new car, drive off, and have to bring it back because the bank refused the loan for whatever reason. That isn't the dealership's fault either.
I understand where your coming from I bought a car from them 15 months ago and 3 weeks after my car was delivered they called me and advised me the loan didn’t go threw and that I needed to return the vehicle I said no problem and scheduled a pick up for the following week and they never showed up lol I’ve been trying to get these sorry bastards too come get they’re car and give me back my 4k but it’s been nothing but a joke with these people eventually I guess I’ll just file an abandoned vehicle notice lol 😂😂😂
