having just watched her on Taskmaster, this does not surprise me at all.
The elvis impersonator did an amazing job with those songs.

American, here. I can’t get enough of these comedian and writer-packed British game shows. I’ve never had a taste for the sterile, flashy, witless, prize-driven competitions so rampant in American television. I’d rather laugh than get tense.

It's not a real game show. 😉It's a comedy panel show where the parlour game is just a premise for comedy. The UK has typical actual gameshows like Who Wants to be a Millionaire?, The Weakest Link and The Chase just like the US.
You should look up nevermind the buzzcocks, the old series NOT the new one, it's top teir British game show comedy

I hate when people say "fun fact", but in this case, really, fun fact: Nicolas Cage has a lifelong obsession with Elvis, did an Elvis impression on SNL, and was even briefly married to Lisa Marie Presley, his daughter.
He doesn't look like he could do a very good cat impression, though.
And now I am imagining Elvis shouting "Not the bees" in a deep melodic voice.

@@Alonepistachio I've seen her in a few shows. She was Doc Martin's receptionist for a couple seasons. And I saw another series on Netflix that she was in of which I can't remember the name at all, but it was pretty funny. It was about some kind of family that were free-spirited or something like that. But yeah, you're right that she hasn't done near as close to anything post IT CROWD as Richard or even Noel for that matter. I still think she's wonderful though.😍
@@nayrecitsuj7426 fair enough, I havent seen those shows but I do love British panel shows and I feel like I havent seen her on much of that but I guess it make sense since she is more on the actor side of things then comedian like richard and Noel.
Katherine was a major character in Humans as well. She was in Taskmaster too :)

Plenty of people hating on Katherine. Her hand by her head like that probably meant she was getting notes from a producer in an earpiece. Maybe Richard accidentally said a "taboo-word" or something on one of those cards.
Maybe it was "You are persistantly in my thoughts" being too close to "always on my mind", when he said that I noticed he said a word that was in the title but I didn't notice if any of the others did something similar

Actually, as an American who gets all his UK content from TH-cam, I've noticed that Dave has really stepped up its game in recent years.
Ok, as someone from the U.S. and not the UK, can I ask a question? Does every comedian have a gameshow and all the other comedians go on each other's shows? Seems like the same small group is in every game show.
Pretty much. Sometimes the host isn't a comedian. But yes, there are a small group of the most popular comedians who make a portion of their living by going on lots of game/variety shows. They usually start off by being a guest, then as they gain success they might become a permanent player/guest, then may eventually host their own show if they fancy it.
A lot of these people are also actors who are in mainstream TV shows in the UK. I've thought about this and its really weird how we do television shows here 😂
Forgot the name but there's a comedy management/production company that is involved in the vast majority of these shows that all the comics are signed up to...its basically a cartel, if ur a comedian and not part of their stable you simply won't appear on British TV...don't get me wrong I like many of the shows but it's a lefty/woke/mor organisation that many non lefty/woke/mor comics have called out as a closed shop that stifles innovation and creativity, and literally makes the same show in a slightly different guise over and over...sour grapes?? Maybe...but it would be nice to see something different every now and then

Love Katherine and Richard. But is this a show? Really? The quality says nah.
You'd be surprised. Every round is different, and it depends heavily on the comedian who puts it together. Nish had a round where they had to order from take-away menus and hit a target price without going over. It can be mediocre and incredible, and whichever it is, it will be different in ten minutes. If you love Richard Ayoade, this is the perfect vehicle for him.
