I can pretty much imagine how devastated the MC to see all of his friends and the people he worked alongside to create toys for children. All shattered, all of them died in a terrible way. Watching that, it’s really sad, losing everyone and the purpose of working there, not knowing what they do underground. The sad tune in the end I think broke my heart
Just makes the Protagonist realise how alone he's, in there. Shocking and sad.
I have a theory here. So when we saw Harley Sawyer and the Prototype talking with each other in Chapter 3 VHS tape, near the end, the Prototype started to sound a lot more like Sawyer. I think that all the Bigger Body Initiatives and other toys have some special directive programmed in them in which Sawyer is the highest order of them. Meaning that he has full control and authority over all the BBIs and other toys that were created by him. So two ways I can think is that either the Prototype copied his voice in which he killed Sawyer and took control of all the toys in the factory or the Prototype when he consumed Sawyer took all of his DNA in him (like how he's making all the toys part of him so he might also have powers of Mommy Longlegs, CatNap, and many others) and started the how Hour of Joy. Just a speculation here.
Also notice that every chapter has a different set of puzzles that you have to solve with the grabpack. All that learning might come to full use in the last chapter (chapter 4). Like during the Prototype boss fight (if we get one), we’re focused to do a number of puzzles but are only able to do them to succeed and get out of the factory. Like if there’s like a timed thing where the Prototype is suddenly vulnerable/stops attacking, the player can continue doing what they need to do to escape WHILE having to deal with the Prototype. But since the thing is practically like the most intelligent toy monster thing alive I think it might be extremely difficult. Chapter 4 will probably be like the ultimate boss fight - apart from the first three in the last chapters.
In one video Dr Sawyer was referred to as "replaced" I believe.
Which is quite a surprising concept because who else would be so familiar with his work?

That explanation makes sense from both a lore and a game design difficulty-scaling perspective.
It would be a solid theory if we didn't already know Catnap worshipped the Prototype as a God and convinced the others to follow it or become another casualty. "THE PROTOTYPE WILL SAVE US."

I think the people in the Mommy Long Legs scene because they saw and heard the screams and saw her rushing through and they got picked up, probably hurt a lot, and dropped down and got eaten.
This scene to me really drove home the horror of this whole ordeal, imagine you're going about your day as normal, nothing going wrong and having a good time going about your day as usual and then next thing you know, you're co-workers are all getting torn apart, eaten, mauled etc by the very creatures that your superiors created.
God I love Poppy Playtime now.

@@crystalprados3601 Is left clear in several instances, just like Poppy's dialogue right after this VHS, that many of the workers were innocent and had no idea what really was happening in the factory. They kill them all, from the scientist behind all the experiments to the janitor who did nothing but clean the first floor.
Yes, the kids suffered a lot but most of the workers didn't ask to be victims of the crimes of their superiors either

It's most probable that the prototype gave the signal to attack at the same time
Imo it’s kind of to believe that the Prototype created some sort of hivemind considering the lack of actual paranormal activity shown so far
@@sboy2044 THen two possibilities come to mind: One, the Prototype made either a specific sound or phrase that signaled the the toys to initiate attack, or he had the BBI's be first to attack and then instructed the other toys to wait for the screams to start tojoin in.
Didn't Dogday literally say that the Prototype has some sort of control over them?
You know, i think Boxy Boo may be good since he was only made to get rid of unwanted people like Rowan Stall. But when it was the Hour of Joy, it was time to kill everyone. But since the factory closed, he may have just been chilling in the factory and maybe have started to calm down more.
At the end, Poppy says that they ate all the people and threw the bodies down. It seems to me that the toys have not calmed down.

Also who knows if Boxy Boo is still alive. It’s years later that the game takes place & some toys might of died killing each other or had a bad encounter with the prototype. Boxy’s corpse is apparently part of the statue of the Prototype Catnap made, but it’s unknown if there’s more then one Boxy Boo as there were 2 PJ Pug-a-Pillars & another Kissy Missy apart of the structure along with Mommy Long Legs & Huggy.

Small theory: Ms. Delights face/body and her sisters.
I think the reason there's no other teachers and why Ms Delight (the last one) was the last one. Was because she littlerly ate her own 'sisters'. This sounds fucked up but it says in a vhs. They fought eachother to the death, she was the last. When she had no more flesh to eat. She started eating her own skin. She started eating her own hair and at one point, ate her own face. She is still hungry.
In her area there are notes in which she reports that she and the other teachers were locked inside the school (the main door of the school was closed after the happy hour ended). Eventually they ran out of food, so the other teachers isolated her and ate the bodies of the victims, leaving her starving. Miss Delight pretended to be dead by staying completely still and then devoured the teachers who came out and were unprepared, killing them all.
She writes that after a while the main door opened and there she learned that it was Catnap who locked them up to die (at least she thinks it was him) and he proposed the deal of helping each other by providing information in exchange for food if I remember. correctly.
She also mentions that there was a time when someone knocked on the door, and when they asked who it was, they only heard a breath in response and nothing more. That made me think of kissy missy, but it could also be CatNap, checking to see if they were still alive.
It was at this moment that she created the weapon that she uses and calls Barb, all to combat whatever might enter and also to combat loneliness once she was isolated.
That explains why we can see her flesh

This VHS tape gave me a horror image that I can’t even forget about. Something about it makes it feel… haunting.
The type of tragedy that leaves more questions than answers. Makes it more harrowing, and leaves me more excited to see the conclusion and reasons as to why this happened at all in Chapter 4.
My jaw dropped the first attack but kiss missy (i think) attacking and running off by the train was somthing else.

I however find the idea the main character is probably only alive because he was sick or he left work before the hour began and just heard the carnage from outside somewhat hilarious.

God, the man who lost his life to the overwhelming amount of Ms. Delights is a literal nightmare. Like, everything else in this tape was horrifying, yes, but imagine the last thing you see is just a group of absolutely feral organic teacher mascots just charging at you.. The fact that it played in slow motion too! For me it's a literal nightmare, especially if you consider the fact that we didn't actually see what they did to the man!

Cause it is the only way I could explain how there´s a kid in there, knowing that the hour of Joy was 10 years before the events of the game. It is super creepy to remember there were cribs in Home Sweet Home after watching this tape.

I want to see all the newspaper headlines that talked about this. What would they even have said? How would articles have described it? How much did the everyday person know about the Poppy Playtime company? The little commercial about the Smiling Critters toys and CatNap being taken from the roster is a little clue. People obviously knew something was off about CatNap at least. Some people outside of the company probably knew Poppy Playtime was weird. Definitely most of the people inside (like Sean’s character) knew it was full of nightmarish things. What extent did The Hour of Joy get covered by news outlets?

I think this was when the devs were like
"ok ENOUGH KIDS VIDEOS!!" begins to cook with the most scary idea for a toy factory

Wonderful! This game is pure enchantment, and to let everyone feel that, I've made a video playing Poppy Playtime on my cellphone, now on my channel.
This goes to show how goated the MC actually is. Huggy, Mommy, and CatNap managed to kill a shitton of employees but MC managed to down all three of them(with some little help of course).
that was proably because no one was prepared, no one had a grabpack, they just randomly got jumped while the MC knew he was gonna get attacked so he was prepared for anything

this VHS is like the majority of my brain cells, my motivation, my self worth... all being rotted away due to my UNHOLY addiction to this very platform: TH-cam (I've been on it ever since when I was young). Ever since last year or the previous couple months of my life, my sleep schedule has been demolished into sleeping at 2:00 AM... and waking up at 10:00 AM... I don't think I will be able to recover soon... I am disappointed in myself... and will never be a healthy, happy man ever........................

I feel like somehow the state we see her in now is extremely nerfed, or she's been hiding some kind of power. She's literally the games namesake yet she seems to be the least powerful character in the entire facility

Fun fact: I sat down and counted bodies for way longer than i'd like to admit, and according to my calculations, there's approx. 195 bodies visible in the tape, plus those in other areas
Nice. I myself actually found there was 50 casualties on the factory room. With rough estimation we can say about around 200 casualties the Hour. That’s a lot done by like only 3-4 big monsters the rest being smaller
There's likely a lot more bodies in places we both the places we've been to but weren't shown in the tape, and places we haven't seen yet and are yet to be
Well they don't really get tired and many of them have bodies made from industrial materials so, makes sense they'd be able to just mash their way through so much unarmed meat.
The factory could be 2 to 3 times bigger or even bigger than an Amazon warehouse. I could say somewhere in the thousands the population of the factory at that time of the hour of joy, employees, visitors, children, scientists, etc.

Reminds me of that scene in The Cabin in the Woods where all of the monsters escape containment and kill everyone.

The Smiling Critters tried to fight the Hour of Joy, but fell, as their miniature counterparts overwhelmed a helpless man, eating him alive.
Miss Delight and her sisters targeted everyone at the schoolhouse; nowhere was safe from them.
Kissy Missy broke free from her restraints, and ended two people, before going after a third.
Boxy Boo caused the bloodiest scene ever as he ate any person he saw, leaving no survivors.
CatNap slaughtered everyone in Playcare, adult or child, guilty or innocent, male and female.
And Poppy was trapped. Helpless.
And all while this happened, the Prototype, the cause of all this, was sitting wherever he was, watching.

Man, matpat was wrong. The prototype has to die now, but also, it doesn’t make sense that the monsters ate them. They lack the necessary requirements for having a stomach.

0:11 something I just realized. The statue of huggy was what attacked them. During the first chapter I assumed huggy was pretending to be a statue to trick you but this tape proves that they made a living toy just to force him to stand in the middle of a room like a statue all day. That’s so needlessly cruel

Everyone thought the toys morals were good and the hour of joy was to only kill the ones that caused them pain, but this shows us how they are just truly evil and they literally kill multiple innocent people
Idk if that’s directly what this is, clearly the Prototype had some control of them, not to mention it’s stated the bigger toys have a more aggressive nature towards adults. Besides CatNap (and assuming Ms. Delight and her sisters killed any kids in the school), the toys are only seen killing adults, which makes sense they have a grudge against them
@@Error-kd4dq all the kids are safe according to ms delights tape where she asked catnap if the kids were alive and safe. and when asked if she could see then, catnap said no and ms delight explicitly said its because he knew she would kill them all. its very clear that most of the toys like her just completely lost it. catnap stayed true to the objective and focused on who to take out. however most of the others just went on killing rampages and murdered anyone they could, regardless of their innocence and involvement. even poppy had a comment on the hour of joy where it was supposed to be an act of revenge against those that tortured them and it just turned into mindless slaughter.
@@MasterOfTruck this is a good point, but I believe it’s also mentioned that the kids are with everyone else and “safe”. If that’s the case then wtv kids were there ended up being killed and dragged down to the depths to be eaten. And if the kids weren’t killed, where are they? And if they are safe what was protecting them from being hurt? If it was CatNap then they’re no longer safe, but even then I’m convinced he killed the kids bc in the vhs you can see him pick up a small wiggling mass (which once could assume is a kid) and throws it across the stairs, which tells me they really did lose it almost immediately after they started

Do you think all the employees in the poppy playtime factory kidnapped all the innocent orphans and conducted brutal experiments on those children. The toys are taking revenge on everyone who brought them into the playtime poppy factory
Chapter 3 Was Way better than chapter 2 I hope chapter 4 Will be Way more better

So basically, everyone's day was doing absolutely normal as they usually have everyday, until all their toys snaps and started going ballistic, possibly by the control of the prototype.

@@Samson-nl4pv Possibly to save herself and break free, but one thing that doesn't make sense is why did she just went back to the same place right after killing and chasing the ones who tried to retreat, and stand/lay there like nothing even happened with blood over her.
@@YrumYWell, DoggyDay did say that the prototype had some sort of control. Perhaps she was greatly influenced at the time, especially if she really is a kid in a toys body.
@@YrumYI think that, everyone has like a reset. Similar how in chapter 1. When we first visit. We can see Huggy waggy as a statue then later in the chapter he disappeared.
