    I have a mason jar full of marbles from the 1930-1940 era that belonged to my father (born 1926.) I’ve shown a few to a Facebook marbles group, and they were able to confirm the age of some of them. And since I doubt my dad was still playing with marbles as a teenager or while in college or the Air Force, I’m assuming that the majority of them are probably just as old.
    I haven’t been able to decide what to do with them, but this design is perfect! I love the idea of combining vintage marbles and wire wrapped pendants!
    Thank you Oxana! You always have the most unique designs, and your instructional videos are so easy to follow!

    I’ve just begun my wire wrapping journey and I’m using silver plated wire but it doesn’t say what hardness it is. Not easy to work but I’m enjoying it anyway. Thank you for teaching me

    • @anyascelticcreations
      @anyascelticcreations ปีที่แล้ว

      Most plated wire I've worked with has a copper core and is dead soft, even if it doesn't say so. The exception would be something with a brass or stainless steel core. If you would like something on the softer side but still plated you could go with something that specifically says it has a copper core. And have fun! 👍

    Can i recommend buying a digital caliper. It makes measuring stones and beads so much easier, especially spherical stones. I also use mine to check my wire as most of mine aren't labelled, so i check the diameter to determine gauge (i only have access to small spools from spotlight at the moment as im cash and space strapped so don't have a dedicated wire working set up as yet)

    • @OxanaCrafts
      @OxanaCrafts  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you, I'll look into it. The measurements of stones are not too important and if your stone a bit larger or smaller it will still work.

    • @anyascelticcreations
      @anyascelticcreations ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They come old school non-digital too. They're a little harder to use than the digital, but a lot easier than a ruler.

    • @cassandrakarpinski9416
      @cassandrakarpinski9416 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@anyascelticcreations suggested digital as it is easier to read than the standard caliper. Those things were annoying in physics prac

    • @anyascelticcreations
      @anyascelticcreations ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@cassandrakarpinski9416 Understandable. I suggested non-digital because that's what I bought because I'm poor. 😂

    Your videos are awesome, and so very clear. My videos are always so blurry, no matter what I do. Could you share with us your setup, especially the camera and lens? Thanks.

    • @OxanaCrafts
      @OxanaCrafts  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My video camera is a Panasonic HC-WXF1M and for my setup what I do is put my camera on a tripod by my kitchen window(as it provides good light) and so the white background in my videos is actually my kitchen cabinets. I can only film at certain times of the day when the lighting is good as I am relying on natural light from my window.

    Do you ever use nylon jaw pliers to pull / press on the wires to lessen marks, or do they not work as well?

    • @OxanaCrafts
      @OxanaCrafts  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They are great for straightening the wire, but large in size so hard to get into tiny spaces with them
