It's very happy to hear that Bangladesh is spending to revive old traditional Dhakai Muslin hope this thing will help Bangladesh traditionally and economically in future.

It's a British born Indian who found the actual cotton plant that this stuff was made of by finding a old specimen in the british museum and then going to Bangladesh and he found the actual plant that had a dna match which is pretty incredible considering they thought it was extinct
@@rabbychowdhury4742 That included research cost. It was a very difficult and costly project. International treasure hunt for one proper archeological artifact/sample, then finding the proper plant throughout the entire firtile Bengal plain. Finding it, then doing it's genome sequencing, then securing IP/trademark. Then weaving for which specialist, almost retired weavers were employed... Now whenever the proper climate condition can be determined it will go to the industrial production. Then you can hope for getting the entry level Muslin within 50K
I don’t see the practical purpose of this fabric in this time. Wearing such sheer fabric will get you arrested for indecent exposure in most countries. It will be a curiosity, no more than that. Ancient Egyptians could weave linen this fine. Why not ask them if they can still pass the knowledge on?
It is very time consuming and very expensive to make. So I imagine it is not worn for practical reasons. :) I am sure there are ways to layer it with a more opaque garment under it, to make it fit to modern needs.
It's not for everyone, it's exclusive, although you can wear such clothes with proper undergarments ie 'Petticoat' and 'blouse'. It won't get you arrested apart from some islamic countries.

Congratulations Bangladesh 🔥🔥
it's created by Indians
@@zukotra😂😂
@@zukotra well if u considered pre-british.
The British cut of hands of weaver. Distroyed production they must pay compensation
Then they have the audacity to showcase OUR STOLEN Muslin fabric in their museums!! Shame on these barbaric colonizers
Mughals cut one finger and later on british exploited the weavers
@CheesyPasta78Mughals were invaders not Indians . Never going to be Indians. For Indians Mughals are sane as Britts
IMHO all the commonwealth nations should empty the British Museum... and the treasury.
@@Exiled.New.Yorker As soon as Elizabeth died, MANY countries started demanding the IMMEDIATE return of the stolen goods.
Our past was gorgeous our future would be golden if we all believe our-self.
I hope the weavers get their share of the success. In preparation of the luxury and finery goods the workers get left out when it comes to earnings.
Before letting the seed in a private corporation hands, make sure it has a geographical identity and only local artisans can weave it.....

No dhaka muslin is exquisite not only by the craft, but by the material that it is made of. The plant from meghna river banks
Now cotton got theocratical title also 😑
You should be happy to know that 1st signs of cotton cultivation is found in Indus valley.
theocratical title? The name "Mulsin" come from a city named Mosul, not Muslim. Get a life and stop being fundamentalist.
@user1gxedynr I think they distribute free on ration to breed that why "Muslim" clothes.
