A beautiful swatch & review as always! 💜 I was really tempted by the Pi Day collection because I am such a sucker for a good collection box! But I gotta say the polishes just didn't do it for me. I own Starrily's Au which feels super similar to 3.14K Gold, and I'm sure we all have a good rose gold holo in our collections by now 🤷♀. Not sure what's going on with Blueberry Pi... personally its giving Pineapples Have Peelings Too vibes to me... I'll let y'all decide if that's a good or bad thing... 😅
the box is super cute!! yeah i pretty much felt the same, the polishes are pretty for sure but just not unique enough for me to be excited over them. and hahah yea especiallyy regarding Blueberry Pi, that was certainly a choice 🤣🙈
It’s so interesting to me that you said Tempest is not usually the shade you think of when describing teal. But it’s actually the exact color I think of when I’m thinking about a true teal color. 😆 Color is so subjective! It’s fascinating!
it really is so interesting! i didnt think it was teal either, but i didn't think it was steely grey as well haha maybe to the real eye it's different but for me it was just like a muted or dusty navy blue haha

I actually really like Lone Wolf! It reminded me of shades I gravitated to in the 2010s when I first started working, and needed neutral shades to wear. It still looks kinda unusual and grungy - I would’ve totally loved it back in the day. Now I just don’t care what people think and wear whatever I want. 😜 This collection has some really nice colours, but I have to say it seemed not very cohesive together? The colour theory seemed all over the place. …yeah - not a fan of Blueberry Pie. That yellow-y base with the blue iridescence is just WAY too much. Yes it looks like the inside of a blueberry…but I don’t think people think the inside of a blueberry is exactly cute??
oh yes Lone Wolf is totally great for a grungy look! i think I would like it a lot more in the fall so i’m gonna give it another chance then lol i feel like the color felt so off putting to me but i wanna like it 🤣 and yeah exactly about the color story!! I don't know why, maybe because this particular trio was executed so well (imo), but I really enjoyed the pi day drop 🥧 I think it's fun, especially for something like nail polish, to acknowledge fun days like that. I picked up a few from the hues collection and am currently wearing Never After with Wizard Duel Chrome from their winter collection! The shimmer has me very distracted 🤩 Tfs!

i wouldn’t call these skinny brushes exactly, they’re kind of more similar to OPI’s flat rectangle kind of brushes, but yeah they’re not my favorite either 🤣 def would love them even more if they were the rounded paddle shape!
i think if they did star crossed as a navy blue it would hit that blue goldstone shade we have been looking for !! LOL edit: just got to the end, i think train graveyard is good for that but star crossed has that SPARKLE hahaha

ah i should’ve showed them together just for reference, but yeah i would say those are more different than the comp between 50 shades. maybe Infinity Rose is in the middle, but it has more of that mauvy rose color vs the lighter pink in NTS. i’m glad you love Never After though!!
Pretty shades but I think I'll pass on these since I have similar shades already. I'm really wanting a collection to really wow me this year, i guess thats a good thing tho since I'm supposed to be buying less this year! Haha! Your comparisons are definitely helping with that! ❤

I love your videos and you have excellent comparisons! I thought a lot of these polishes might have compared to some of orly's specialty polishes like their nasa collection and Kelli's collabs. I own many polishes but only 1 or 2 of your comparison polishes here, therefore all the polishes are on my wishlist now!

those are no where near dupes! pahlish is more lavender purple with a finer more shifty shimmer while starrily’s base looks more blue in comparison, with the larger shimmer/tiny micro flake particle that doesn’t shift to orange and green etc!
I am so glad to hear your reaction to Blueberry Pi. I had the same reaction but I have seen a few different YT swatchers say that that shade was their fave! It was not up my alley to say the least LOL

That’s the only one I was kind of interested in. But blue shimmer in light bases always has a yellow tinge that I’m not a fan of. I think I can dupe this one with a flakie topper and a sheer shimmer.
I would call Tempest a marine blue, which is like a warm navy, somewhere between navy and deep teal (at least to my minimally-color-educated mind and eye)!
ooh i like the sound of marine! i guess i can see it leaning a bit warmer too, i struggle so much with telling apart undertones esp when the colors are deeper or muted 🙈

I like both collections and appreciate Starrily‘s concept of building collections so much more than of many other brands. I admit though their choices for the Heartbreak Collection appear to be a bit random if I may say so. I love the Pi Trio. As always thank you for the review and comparisons. 🫶🏻

Interesting shades and the formulas look very good. The brushes don’t look awesome though, skinny brushes drive me crazy.
