I looked at some other videos with standard tuning and figured it would be easier but I actually believe I could possibly pull off the slide now with this open tuning. Glad I stumbled across your channel, Will be subscribing. Love anything from the Black Crowes!!!!!!!

I learned this song like a month ago. Must have been right before he posted it. There was a video I found that was ok but I was like man this would be so much easier if Marty was teaching me this.
He Marty, ove all the vids. Can you show soloing in open G? I understand the tuning, and the changes in the positioning, but connection different areas of the neck is a bit challenging. I tried watching Rich solo, but it's hard to see exactly how he approaches solos.
Marty, maybe a stupid question. I’ve seen Rich play a capo on third fret. Is he in drop G and then adds the capo or in standard and then the capo? Because to me, the notes created either way confuses me. Can you tell I’m not really a guitar player? 😆 The channel rocks. Thanks!
