Heating fuel tanks such as yours dot the American rural landscape, especially noticeable when traveling by train as the tracks often run along the back gardens of properties. Bless the French and their commitment to aesthetics (and historic provenance?).
As Isabelle observed she had never seen the greenhouse beds so full, I thought back to several years ago when she spoke anxiously about how far behind the small staff was in keeping up with the garden and not using the harvest efficiently enough. How gratifying to see how reassured she is by the current staff and volunteers' terrific skills and garden management system. (And how lovely to see Isabelle's desire to please Percy by dressing nicely for him. She deserves a day of play clothes and hairclips.)

Hi Stephanie. In the Southern USA, we cook turnips (peeled and cut into uniform chunks) in a pot with some water, salt, pepper, butter, and sugar to taste. The sugar removes the "harsh' taste that turnips can have. They are yummy. Sometimes people mash them like potatoes also.

@karenniehues4786 That's how we ate them growing up, turnip greens flavored with bacon or ham hocks and small turnip bits. (Mostly about the greens.) In fact, you can order turnip greens in some restaurants in the south where I grew up, still. I love them!
Unfortunately, most grocers chop off and waste the greens, just like with beet root. Beet root greens are delicious and extremely healthy because they help the body get rid of toxins. Such a waste of excellent nutrients, too. Eat the greens! 🤗

Just a few months ago, Stephanie had a hidden handyman who painted and fixed the two back gates. I think it was Nickolas. The outline she used was the same shape as Nick. She said the hidden handyman might also work on the Pergola, so we will see.

Phillip I love your broach and you are bringing them back, I inherited my beautiful aunts, you need to have a look at how the Queen placed her broach. You have it to far to the right. I am being like my aunt she would tell me off that it was not in the right place! Just one of those little things 😂 I just have to point out. Call me old fashioned!

Did they place any empty conduit in with the digging? I have a friend that is a great planner for infrastructure. He never digs ANY trenches that are not also given empty conduits for future projects. It looks like it is all going great!! Yay!!!!
