Hey Uncle Jessy, I have a couple questions. How did you choose your support structure? I tried printing the mask and couldn't get rid of the support inside the "breathing holes." Also, how long did the print take?

Hey! Wouldn't changing strips of metal to different pole magnets made the eye pieces more "snappable"? Great Video!
Tomek Dymek potentially. Unfortunately I was running low on magnets and trying to avoid another trip to the store haha. It actually works and holds well. I need to adjust one of the eyes slightly to have a more snug fit
My thought was that magnet to magnet connection would be stronger, therefore easier to snap together, but if it works with strips, it's cool. Everyone can relate to avoiding store trip 😄

I'm still on the fence about making the $150-jump to Simplify3d, but I also bought 3 rolls of Hatchbox PLA since it's what you use. I've noticed your CR-10 seems to be running entirely stock parts, no self-printed upgrades. Did you go through extruder calibration, or is it all basically in your S3D profile?
ackthbbft yep. Run mine completely stock. Before dropping $150 I'd say grab some of the Cura profiles from the cr-10 Facebook group. It's free and run with that until you feel like splurging on S3D. Thanks for checking out the videos and commenting!
Hello, Uncle Jessy, I found your video and I bought the file in Do3D, but I have problems when printing the faceshell, print it in the same position as you but I have 2 problems, the first problem is that the eye area is not printed well even with a support.
The second problem is in the area where the magnets go, in my file the support of one of the magnets remained in the air and the impression of that area is very bad.
How can I know the printing parameters you used? Greetings, your channel is incredible.

Depends on orint speeds/quality etc but I would say 3 days or so is my guess
Is the CR-10 your primary printer of choice now? I have the 2nd larger one, and let's just say it barely gets a day off.

the Z banding is a lot more apparent in this than other prints is your bed wobbling?

Your print area is large, mine it's 22 x 22 x 24. It's possible to split the file in smaller pieces?

you should get wide tape and cover the holes with it and spray paint the tape red so you can't see it

you are really a great creater I was having a question that what cost totally it take an average to create 1 mask
hardik sharma printer is $600 or less, the PLA plastic is about $30 or less a roll and I could make 2 or 3 of these masks with 1 roll. Magnets were about $5 give or take. Huge piece of sheet metal was $10. So around $650 or less + your time and effort. Obviously the printer is a onetime cost and you can sometimes get it under $400!

You should check out the channel called John Hay. He has a how to on how to make a spandex mask.

There is software you need for your computer to load the 3D files... Cura, Simplify3D as an example. That software tells the printer how to print the file, how big, how fast, how detailed etc.
