As a G6 player, I love the skin. The added sigma resources on top of the regular resource hauls has been really nice. Also agree that I love the skin’s look. They did a great job on making it look “real.”
Thanks for the call out. I hadn’t thought about actian. That makes it really easy to do double pulls of everything in the mantis refinery. That’s a huge boost to syndicate.
The skin is awesome for the Sigma rss alone. Instant buy once I reach G6. No idea if Burning is really that awesome. For mid-late G5 and higher it’s maybe 8% more Isolytic damage. For 40s it might hold some value by getting 60% more loot from Ent-E Picard on Actian. Can’t think of much else where the Skin is really Game changing for G4 as they won’t have Tal maxed where he might do some funny stuff but I think not much a well developed G4 can’t do. They can already kill 60s Freebooters with Tal on G4 Rares. Too high reds like 60 JemHadar or higher G5 FKR ships deal too much damage for a G4 Monaveen. So mainly the up to 8% more Iso damage benefit. Neelix would have more interesting implications. Also with pretty much nonexistent Tal sourcing no option for G4 to do real funny stuff with it

Auto-GG for Tal proc is nice, but I have finished the Mantis loop as well, so while interesting, its on the sure, why not list and not on the need to have or really would like to have list.... until I get to 60 of course (L50 currently). Now, if it worked on my Tribune, I'd be buying it.
I have used the Monaveen (T5) for quite sometime against 49 Actian hostiles using the known Tal crew. Having this skin as a great benefit, it's frustrating that you have to spend money to get the skin. I would spend a lot of time grinding to get this skin, as it is worth it from day one when it unlocked. If I heard this right, It is frustrating that you don't get Sigma rss before you hit Op 60+. The design of the skin is really good as well.
It would be great if they would add G5 and G6 to the refinery events so that we could get the research materials slowly mined with Voyager at the extent of warp range.
I hate the Monaveen and keep forgetting to put it out overnight. I agree, I don’t like the gilded/spicy pickle nickname, either - I call it the Minivan because it reminds me of a gaudy 70s campervan 😅
you can indeed. you only need to unlock the skin (or any skin) to get the bonus, you don't need to have it applied to a ship at all to use the benefits.. basically, the unlock button is like completing a research.
At OPS 60, it doesnt have G6 in the pack, on the fence whether to buy it now at OPS 60, wait until 61 or push to 61 specifically to improve the pack now
@@mrmd9173Honestly, and in full disclosure I’m ops 65 so I have been G6 for awhile, I would wait until you cross to 61 if you are 60 already. May as well get the sigma resources in the pack if you are going to buy it. Oh, and camping at 60 isn’t as critical as it was when G6 launched. Things have improved in terms of resources economy and rewards so that you can get buy pushing to ops 61 earlier than you could before. Some dailies may be a bit difficult to complete, but it won’t be crippling. Plus, you can start stockpiling the new sigma resources in some easy dailies.

Yea 61+ to see and get sigma, which in fairness is when you actually need them. I too really like the design
