In Tagalog, the tenses Ann used to refer to Paul were present continuous. But it’s tricky because even in those verb tenses, it can also mean past depending on the narrative. If that makes sense. So it was tricky to translate the verb tenses in English making them strictly in the past tense and still keep the twist.
And inspired by a True Story😭😞 The actor who portrayed the character of Jay said in their vlog that the real life Paul was actually buried at circuit makati near the skate park, in Philippines.
I hope in the next jollibee valentine story ipakita nila ung mga totoong character sa commercials nila kahit pictures lang 😊
How's that possible? Circuit Makati was never been a cemetery. It was a horse race track before it became a Circuit Makati Mall.

My mates hate me for recommending Jollibee and some other Filo commercial ads that’s making them teary or heartbroken in the end. I wanted to kick Jollibee’s ass, too, but I realised Jollibee could sting me BIG time haha I hope we’ll have Jollibee in Australia, soon! The rest of the world’s been having branches except Oz! Bummer

It was so funny how for such a long time I was struggling with explaining to people what “kilig” means, and here’s Law, always saying “Tingles”, and I just slapped myself for having forgotten that word in forever. Thanks, Law. Hahaha so funny how two guys react with so much time and effort on something very romantic. But defo makes it adorable haha I miss baby Zac and the gals!

The hint were the song; and the part where Paul and tha girl sitting, if you observed, Paul was staring at the girl, but the girl was not looking at him because Paul was just a ghost. Paul stood up and left because he is now being let go, he can now gonto heaven 😊. The girl finally moved on.

Jollibee tends to do ads in trios or continued stories. It’s one way to keep people following and later on so curious that they are compelled to check it out. For those who are familiar with the brand, the nostalgia it evokes might be strong enough to get you to search for a jollibee store and eat again. Great marketing strategy, in my opinion. ;)
