Also please bro since you drive this car on the street regular insurance company isn’t gonna cover ish if something happens. Get it appraised and insured with Haggerty or another ins that will cover it for the appraised value.
I built my awd Dc5 in 2017-2019 before the pandemic.. With much of the same parts. If you take away cost of the initial car purchases, I spent only $31,000 to have a fully built 600whp dc5 with all top of the line everything.. That is how much cheaper everything was back then. For example. I got my k24a2 for $600..... My engine build, which was SuperTech Valvetrain, custom 40 degree VTC, API Damper, 4 Piston Turbo Cams, CP 10:1 pistons, CP wrist pins, Manely Turbo Tuff Rods, Darton sleeves, DC timing kit, 4 Piston oil pump... All of this was only $6,800. So I have a sleeved k24 for around 7500... Another huge difference was my Transmission. I have a fully built Helical PPG 6-speed transmission with Quaife LSD, and I only paid $3,500 in 2018(its 4500 now) and I paid $5000 total for LSD/forged Helicals/carbon syncros and CRV case. I got a Wago diff and viscous coupler in 2017 before the build, for a whooping $800.... lol... Even my custom DSS axles were cheap. I think the only part of the build that has similar price is the billet tcase and gears. Then I have a big brake kit, custom Milspec Harness, Had Haltech, but now have FuelTech, using a stock 2001 awd civic ferio fuel tank that bolted right in and was plug and play. I cant find how much my S1 rear end awd kit was, but I just remember totaling everything up a while back, and I spent 31k total for the entire build.

Crazy amount of work but it's very satisfying when you get it right. Love how the haltech dash fits.. I've been torn between keeping stock gauges or doing a dash in the Sup. @DisciplineSupra

Definitely not Cheap but to be fair those cars were hella expensive back when they hit the scene for just front wheel drive and maybe 300hp. Considering the end result I still say it was worth it especially considering it’s rare either way I enjoyed the series and for sure looking forward to the next one keep up the hardwork devin respect.

I am sure people will eventually do a build like this for much cheaper, it might not have the top of the line parts but will be very similar for much cheaper.. the only down side is that is a heavy car and for going fast a 90s civic will work better for speed.. But this is unique for sure.

I spent in total for my full Mugen catalogue build FK8 I spent £77,786.00 in total 😢 But your car is an awesome build all wheel drive, and much faster, as my car isn’t a power build! To prevent those straight-cut gear teeth from eating themself you can add a bottle of Ceratec it helps smooth out the shifts and reduces the shear force and vibrations

Excited to see the new project coming! Some Evo love coming up is cool! That's when I found your channel modding Evo's and doing info searches on Evo's lol. Never regretted subbing and watching, you guys give great entertainment and also learned A LOT so big thanks! Also owning some Vasyn apparel, really good quality stuff! You guys also let me realize that I still love cars, and still have that interest for it. Even though the community here has gotten worse like anywhere else, but there are still plenty of solid ones, thankfully. My interest is just a bit less and became less of a priority for me as I own cars who aren't really prone to modding out. I do went into motorcycles though which, is definitely so fun and my main priority! I will own some more fun yet good street use cars soon. Probably go back to Japanese but we'll see. Also job well done on the Type R. I think the power level you went to, is unnecessary but I get you doing it and make something special of the first ever AWD CTR of that gen. And the "only" 480-500 whp is low to ish to you compared what it can run, but it's still fast enough obviously. But the 500 whp seems real solid. Would be nice if you run maps with different power levels to make it real versatile if that's even possible.

Question, why didn’t you use an Acura SH - all-wheel-drive system? Seems like the more playful all-wheel-drive system from Honda/Acura. And if you had bought a 2019 MDX with shAWD would the build have been still possible?
