It is not cruel to take the skin of an already dead animal. Killing it for the purpose of obtaining the skin is cruel. I have my reservations in using silk, honey, and milk products though. It is high time we go completely vegan and ban all animal products (at least products of cruelty) from our daily lives and rituals.
