Found two of the LL/ME at my local Walmart just yesterday, so I am set for a bit.....it is definitely different and better than the other bottle I have from a couple years back. Worth picking up for sure.
Nelson's Greenbrier almost always has the honey cask in stock at the distillery. Secondary has dropped quite a bit though from when it was first released.
Uncle Nearest is great! It is sourced, but I would HIGHLY recommend Southern Whiskey Collective. They put out some incredible blends. They also have a tour where you can bottle your own bottle, straight out the barrel, if you want.
Don’t Pass on those Green River Single Barrels! Those are Great Bottles! Woodford DO’s are Phenomenal! Just Subbed to your Channel. We Love doing Hunt Videos on our Channel
I love Green River’s stuff, and the Woodford DO! Definitely want to try a Green River Single Barrel. Thanks for watching! I’ll have to check out your channel!
The fine wine and good spirits here in Pennsylvania made a mistake too, they were selling Russel’s 15 for the price of the 10! For a good 3 days, the 50 dollar Russel 15 was a big deal in the PA bourbon squad Facebook page😂
I believe it only matters if it’s a LL/ME … I don’t think the numbers matter. Could be wrong. I found a LL/ME and was interesting. First taste was a cool water taste … it was interesting but good
I don't necessarily agree here. I have a few Russell's picks and love them. I picked up a CN at Costco a couple of months ago and while it is great whiskey, I wasn't blown away. Fast forward to this weekend and I was out hunting the LL/ME. I found none, but I did pick up a Russell's pick from TY-G at Total Wine. This TY-G bottle is absolutely unreal good. I managed to get a pour of the RR15 recently and I have to say this TY-G pick shares some similarities with the 15. It was so good I went back and bought another bottle. @BourbonHuntersGuide - the TY-G bottle I got is almost the same specs as the one you showed from Cool Springs: TY-G, floor 4, and distilled on literally the same day. I say go back there and see if they have a taste. You might be blown away!
Rarebird (who mentioned "go out and get LL/ME")has confirmed that it is not Russels 15 juice, but that it does have some older stock in the batch. He left a comment on SLB.
@BourbonHuntersGuide David Jennings aka Rarebird101 was the person responsible for putting out the word "go out and buy LL/ME" his sources at Wild Turkey did confirm that batch does have some old stock, and thats why you can tell a noticeable difference.
I checked around me and everyone either has LL/MD or LL/MH on the shelf. My guess is that my area got passed over again on something special. I did find a RR 15 on the shelf yesterday, but it's at one of those known "museum" stores for $350. I passed on it. Someone else can overpay. I don't normally go over $60-70 for a bottle. Too many disappointing 'special' releases lately.
Dang. That sucks! Well hopefully they get to y’all! And $350s not the worst that I’ve seen it for, but I feel ya on the disappointing special releases.
It truly p***** me off that they discontinued sending out the Evan Williams singlebarrels to Ohio. I've been collecting them for many many years and then They said no more for you ohio
Russell's LL ME and no other ME is the key. Jeff AKA El Jefe. My kids have called me El Jefe since the late 70s. My e mail address is Jefe........ Currently they call me El Ruco.
It’s not just “hype”. You think everyone’s palate who has tried it is wrong? Stop being a clown. 🤡. The batch is way better. Go out and get one, you’ll see.
@@BigD_Energyno it’s hype based on completely unsubstantiated rumors. Even if the batches themselves are better it doesn’t mean there’s Russell’s 15 in it. Batches will always change from time to time and people in the secondary market are always looking to flip cheap bottles for more. That’s all this is. Hype to drive up a secondary market on something that doesn’t deserve it at all.
@bourbonhuntersguide looks like several have commented about it not being 15 year… m.th-cam.com/video/L3NymZ3GQsc/w-d-xo.html&pp=ygUPc2xiIGJvdXJib24gYmFy But here was first video where the rare bird guy responded in the comments that he verified the bourbon was not “leftover”
It's a very shallow laser engraving toward the bottom of the bottle. It is very faint and not for middle-aged eyes. There's no real guarantee as to what side of the bottle it's on. The lazer code is on every standard offering that comes out of Wild Turkey.
Look in the right place. Turn the bottle around look below the label at the bottom edge of the glass and you will see a faint etching LL ME is the only one that matters.
Thanks everyone, for watching! Have you found one of these secret Russell's bottles? What's the best score you've had lately?
What are the bottles were looking for LLME 16/23??
@@gabeross7953 there's debate on this, but to be safest, look for LL/ME 20.
All kinds of stuff gold blatans straight from the barrel.
Lots of store picks I spent too much money
Best score lately - finding a Michter's 10 Rye for MSRP.
love to see you hitting the local joints in Nash, gota hit up reds and some shops in Lebanon

Agreed!!
Awesome seeing you and your dad together. You guys could do reviews. keep up the good content brother. Cheers
Thank you! I really appreciate it!
Anything you think we should make a video about?
Best score this week was a 2024 JD Coy Hill for $99.99 and the next day 6 bottles of ETL for $59.99 each at Walgreens Liquor
Whoa! 🎉
Woah! Thats awesome! I went to the coy hill drop at JD and then got another bottle for 130. It’s sooo good!
ETL at Walgreens is crazy!
glad you found one. I suppose I should go look around.
Agreed!
Nelson's Greenbrier almost always has the honey cask in stock at the distillery. Secondary has dropped quite a bit though from when it was first released.
That’s good to know. Thanks!
Widow Jane Decadence is delicious. One of my favs. I have trouble finding it regularly, though.
Dang. Should’ve gotten it haha
The Penelope Toasted Rye is one of the best ones out there, it is what I wanted Elijah Craig Toasted Rye to be! On my Third!
Sweet! I’ll definitely need to check it out!
Nice video, that NBC you picked up was not MGP, its from TN. A new line, good stuff at 5 years old.
Gotcha, that's super helpful to know! Thanks!
I will be in Nashville Next week. Is there a local bottle of Bourbon I should grab? I prefer local distillers vs sourced.
Uncle Nearest is only about 1 hr or so south of Nashville and the tour, distillery, and selection were incredible!!! Highly recommend
Uncle Nearest is great! It is sourced, but I would HIGHLY recommend Southern Whiskey Collective. They put out some incredible blends. They also have a tour where you can bottle your own bottle, straight out the barrel, if you want.
What website are you using when you show the avg msrp, fair price, and shelf price?
It’s called Booze. It’s an app. You can see how to use it in my second video, at the end.

@ I have had several SiB from Green River. Every one of them have been GREAT!
They had a few cases at the Costco here in Columbia. And yes, I picked up one.
Nice score!
Rare Bird clarified there’s no RR15 in the batch, but has older whiskey in it.
Ah bummer! Thanks for the heads up.
@@BourbonHuntersGuideThe LL/ME is still better than other batch/Laser Codes bottles.
You should have gotten that cream of Kentucky they are amazing bottles.
Only hear great things! I'll definitely add it to the wish list!
I've only seen LL/MD around in Kansas City.
Ah dang! Hopefully it makes it out there! Love KC and am a huge Jayhawk fan!
awesome video, you definetly deserve more subscribers!
Thank you! Would love any ideas of what you like about them or what videos you want me to make next!
Picked up a RR a few months ago just to try out and turns out to be one 😂 guess I didn’t get a true first experience
A few months ago? Half the stores I've been to still have LL/MA on the shelves :(
That’s like finding $20 in old pants haha! Such a fun find you already had😂
What app are you b using for prices?
It’s called Booze. Super helpful to find secondary and MSRP prices quickly. I talk about it at the end of my second video.

Yeah I really enjoyed it! Glad you did too
You are correct.. no other numbers or letters matter it is al about LL ME ME is the key.
There's plenty of MA around.. not the same.
Grab that Bakers 7 High Rye! It's allocated and delicious!
I need to next time I see one! I love bakers 7!
3.5 for the LL/ME is criminal...
Haha I thought it was really good, but I guess I may be a little more of a harsh critic😅
You want to see CN (Camp Nelson ) on a Russell's Reserve single barrel, not the main campus TY (Tyrone).
Thanks for the tip! I knew Camp Nelson is the best, but didn’t know if the other rick houses were good also.

Also, when I read about the LL/ME bottle...first store I went to and first R10 I picked up was that laser code. #lucky

never had normal RR10 so TBD

So many people think it’s Russell’s 15… so many people are wrong. It’s hilarious

there is a cigar called "El Jefe" La Aroma De Cuba El Jefe
Awesome!
So is it supposed to be any with the LL/ME code?
I thought it was LL/ME 20 from what I heard
Yeah I’ve heard both LL/ME 20 or 17. Has it been clarified more recently?
I heard the LL/ME 20 is the only one...
DJ has said 17 and 20 almost taste the same.
Even if it is true, it’s rejected mixed, and watered down.
Yep, that’s fair. Might still be better than the normal stuff that goes into the 10 though.
The ME blind is noticeably better than other batches I tried it against.
Go to Buffalo Trace and you can get EH Taylor for $45!
I have yet to pay more than $42 for EHT SmB. Are you say EHT Rye has a $45 MSRP?

Johnny Walker set would have been good Blue Label 750ml is $200
I’ve not had much scotch before, but I hope to try it sometime!
Asked about the Russell's code bottle "I already found two"
Asked about the code as she is checking them: "I don't remember" 🤦
Haha we all have those moments
LL/ME and LL/MF. The latest I've seen is MD.
I thought this whole LE/MM was proven to be nonsense? NO?
It’s been hard to track, but it seems like it is older distillate but maybe not Russell’s 15
Mistakes, made a few, not done yet.
Sorry, I’m not sure what you mean by this.
Found 3 bought 2 left 1 and went to another store found 6 left em all
Wow! Thats awesome!
It’s a brilliant marketing scheme. Unfortunately that’s all it is.
Probably true. Good stuff though!
Not sure I would call it marketing when it was first said online and not by the brand?
@@BLCSinKY I mean, what percentage of things do you believe just because they’re online?
It’s pretty much the market itself saying this bottling is bomb - not marketing by WT…

You guys realize this isn't true, right?!? And even if it is it's not 15 year. The proof is down and the color is clearly not on par with 15.
