8:45 Jokes aside (see what I did?), I actually think Joker remains one of the most great portrayals of people with a realistic disability and adjustments made for them. He jokes about it, but also takes its considerations seriously: your character can realistically challenge his competence without being necessarily inappropriate and (rather than reducing it to a movie-style "check your privilege" moment) he responds with a confident repsonse. He can do his job "better" than his equivalence and he's not shy about it.
I forgot to mention, inside of Dr. Chakwas' med bay, there is a Medi-gel dispenser on the wall near the exit that you can use to resupply your stock after every mission. Also, right outside of the med bay is Shepard's locker, where you can occasionally collect free gear after certain missions.
The puzzle was "Towers of Hanoi". It's a puzzle to move all the lines from one column to another. You can only move the topmost (smallest) line of any column per move. That's all.
Great to see you back so soon! It's great to see a new player learn about her squad mates. Do not judge Ashley to harshly, my mother taught me to never to judge to quickly. Try to speak to them after every main story mission.
Don't rush! Most of us watching are experienced ME players. I have over 2000 hours logged in the legendary edition and many many more in the original games and I never get bored watching new players. I noted you comment about Red Dead 2, six play throughs! I love Red Dead Redemption but RDR 2 has been gathering dust on my shelf. I really must give it a go!
I definitely don't intend to rush but there's a balance between entertainment and not enough because I'm too deep in the codex. If you get me? I feel like the slower I am in the episode, the lower the watch rate and engagement is which indicates that people aren't as entertained. Which is disheartening as I'm really enjoying the series and learning about the worlds but I guess not everyone shares that passion. PLEASE play RDR 2!! It's so good!
You do an enjoyable playthrough 😊. A lot of people just try to get through as fast as possible. As for Ashley, she does seem to respond to Male Shep better than Fem Shep. Keep talking to her and you'll find the source of her feelings about aliens. There's some "hurt" in her past.
The Mako is great in this game! You get to use it a lot more if you also do more missions on non-story-objective planets. (This option will eventually go away though... This game eventually has a "point of no return" that will lock off non-story-critical paths.)
Always fun hearing your comments---although laughter containment was not operable on this level. Sorry about Mira; she's been lonely lately and really likes to talk--but the big shrimp don't have much to say!
Game mechanics (in case you haven't caught this yet): On the dialogue wheel, top right is Paragon, middle is neutral, bottom right is Renegade. Choosing left opens up more details. The game developers really want you to take a stand. If you take too many neutral choices you'll miss out on a lot.
To better explain the topic of the asari, they are a species made up only of women, it is not that they can change sex, however, although they are exclusively female, they can reproduce with any other species and with any sex, whether they are men or women, the daughters that result from this union with other species or with the Asari themselves will always result in an asari daughter. As Liara said, she is a pureblood, a daughter resulting from a union between two asari, a practice that is considered useless or even bad by the asari themselves, since most seek to have more diversity in the genetics of their species. They do not reproduce through sexual relations like us humans, they are able to connect their nervous system with that of their partner by sharing various genetic traits, that is the way they reproduce with any species, whether they are men or women. I'm loving watching you play this game, is one of the best anyone could play. 😊😊 I hope this information has been useful to you, and I apologize for my use of English, it is not my native language.
Omg never apologise! You are smarter than me for knowing two languages! Yes, I had a feeling that was the case after reading the Codex and listening to how they get a bad reputation as promiscuous because they diversify their bloodlines by seeking out lovers from other species. It's really fascinating. I was more commenting about how it felt similar to fish that would change their gender at will in order to conceive but I know it's not the same as it's an all female species - still really really cool!
Yes, it always seemed amazing to me how they created all these incredible and complex species, each one in their own way, even the case of the asari and their reproduction, it seems quite incredible to me for a 2007 game. Also, I know that Ashley at the beginning She may seem a little distrustful towards the alien members, and even a little racist, but over time and later as you learn more about her past and her reasons for being that way, you come to better understand why she is that way about the aliens. Mass Effect always shines for its incredible way of building characters and giving each one some motivation and background, honestly one of the best parts of this game are its characters, and you can see that as you progress through the story and subsequent games. As i say, you are doing great, i expect You enjoy greatly this game, Commander 😊😊
@@luisfernandogonzalezreyes3038 Thank you so much Luis! Yeah, the Elcor are my favourite so far. I have such a soft spot for them and the Hanar. They're just so unique and quirky! I'm sure Ashley will grow on me with time!
Hey Sophie, I've been watching your Hollow Knight videos but figured you'd be more likely to see my comment here. In the video you've been talking about not wanting spoilers and I wanted to give you a tip to help avoid them. Maybe someone has already mentioned, but if you record a couple episodes ahead it helps to avoid spoilers and also keep a release schedule.
@@drsophiedarling I know, but the same applies for any games you want to be relatively spoiler free. Otherwise I wouldn't have bothered pointing it out.
ME1 is so full of info it's a bit overwhelming at times... In the main menu there/s a map tab... Would have helped you in Port Hanshan... It's not great, but it does help finding your way around...
I had to cut out a lot of running back and forth going "where the fuck am I?" hahaha - but yes there's so much info and I'm so torn between the codex and the character interaction vs the mission. BUT WE ARE IN IT FOR THE LONG HAUL!

Honestly warmed my heart because it's so rare to see positive disability representation!

I think you'll appreciate the character moving forward, to leave it as vague as possible and avoid spoilers 😀

Well - too bad it completely broke my game to the point that I didn't want to attempt it again haha!
Indeed and it is one annoying puzzle until you figure that out!

I definitely will try to speak to them as often as I can! Definitely trying to be as consistent as I can so get ready for Ep 5 on Wednesday!!

I’ve not seen that glitch you had in Legendary Edition at all, though I had Andromeda do something similar a few times. Congrats on breaking it!
I was so so so confused haha!!

Loving the Flareon Oodie 💜
And how can you not like the space bugs, maybe they just want a hug and looking to be your friend.
I don't want to be their friend!
