I was listening to this song on the way home from my dad's one day. He has lung cancer and had recently spent time in the hospital. When I got home, I sent him a letter with the lyrics to this song along with one of my journal entries. I am back in the hospital with him right now. We almost lost him 2 days ago, but yesterday he surrendered to Jesus and got baptized! Praise God for His faithfulness and thanx Colton for giving me this wonderful song to connect me to my dad. I picture myself singing this to him...encouraging him. By the way...he is doing great now and going home in a day or two! God is soooooo good :)

That means even if people pass on from this life to heaven, God still won the battle! They went from living a better life here knowing God, to living in heaven *with* Him!

My first friend at boarding school circa 2002 killed herself about 7 years ago now. I cried the entire day... I wrote these lyrics in her memorial that for anyone else who is out of faith, I’d give them some of mine. I am now in grad school to become a therapist to help those who have lost their light. God is so good.
