Not just Rajit Kapoor but even the actors/actresses who played minor roles acted superbly. This was quality of the TV drama in 90's don't you all agree?
Not exactly . Let me tell you this as an ardant fan of the original literary work by SB and a die hard fan of Rajit Kapoor as Byomkesh when I was a kid 😅 The story on which the act were based were excellent which actually formed a solid base but the overall act was not as good . The ebb and flow never did look that good and it was not only due to technical limitations of the time . Many of the supporting and non regular actors looked and played the roles like amateures in many of the episodes. But there were no unnecessary and unpleasant background music or effects that you see in the sitcoms of today that are mostly inspired from ekta Kapoor's style of serials . That was the biggest difference and most definitely a plus point. I feel that the new BYOMKESH on HOICHOI is doing complete justice to the character and the act . They have certainly kept the essence of the stories. Anyone who has read the book can actually realize it quite easily.

Who used to stay awake till 3am in the morning watching movie in DD national? It used to start only after the end of English news at 9 pm.Those were the best days. I remember watching kayamat se kayamat tak ,Ishq,pyar jhukta Nahi etc,,,,till dawn what a days those were.Even early 21st were awesome

This episose is unique, as this the only episode where byomkesh has hardly spoken in first 20 mins 🤔, as the inspector and other characters are doing all the talking.
Actually that might be real hotel and it is named Anupama and might be hotel owner told them not to use real name of Hotel and they changed it to Nirupama

If anyone ever sees my comment, do help me to clarify my doubt. Around 36 mins, inspector introduces Byomkesh to the doctor as "aap hai Byomkesh Bakshi" whereas we often say "yeh hai Byomkesh Bakshi". I noticed a similar type of introduction in the episode "Balak Jasoos" when Byomkesh goes to the kid's house and gets introduced to the people staying in that home in a similar manner.
