      "Peaceful and serene" is not how I would describe summer in Agropoli: because of corona there weren't many people, but the population triples during summer, so just imagine 60000 people all crammed there and you'll see how it's neither peaceful nor serene 😬 But from April to June, and September/maybe October, you could enjoy the city with less tourists and get the feelings you described 😄

I live in America but nothing as beautiful as Italy. It must have been many Artist in the day. Genious to be able to create such beauty . If I could ever go anywhere it would be Italy. I pray that Italy stays full of real Italian people who have such a beautiful future. No wonder New York was so famous the people who came from Italy. Who would want to leave this Heavenly place wow. Hey Hippie Chick Momma, I'm really glad you enjoyed this video. Agropoli is not a super popular tourist destination but it is still a really nice place to visit and enjoy the people and the beaches. I'm not sure why the European Union flag was being flown above the Italian flag but I guess they are just trying to show their unity with the rest of Europe. Where in the states are you from?

I try them anywhere I go just so to see if there are any that are better and I've never found one....so I am pretty lucky to live where I live. :) We like to ride our bikes down there on Saturday mornings and get one.

      Always important to try out all the varieties of donuts! I lived in Little Italy in Cleveland while in school and could tell the difference between the baker on duty the night before by how the donuts were done when I picked one up in the morning on the way to class. ;-) Everyone puts their own touch on their creations👍

    Really beautiful, picturisque town, beautiful day with clear blue skies, I would like very much a walking video of Todi in the Umbria region, I have seen video clips of that town and loved the architecture. Thank you as always, I am not sure when we will be able to travel again but for now your videos are much appreciated!

    • @ProWalks
      @ProWalks  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Dave, How goes it? I have driven past Todi several times but never stopped. There is some arch I think that goes over the highway that always stood out to me but I was on my way to Assisi and back those times and just didn't have a chance to stop. I'll go check it out though. I hope all is well. I just spent the day down in Naples. Instead of filming a walk, I just put my camera on a tripod and filmed still scenes around the city.

      @@ProWalks I live about 80 km from Todi and every now and then I go for a walk in the city.
      In each art history book you can see photographs of the church of "Santa Maria della Consolazione" designed by Bramante.
      You can see the remains of a church from 1093 (San Nicolò de Criptis), the Duomo dell'Annunziata, the Palazzo del Capitano, the Palazzo dei Priori, the city walls, the remains of a castle, a couple of museums and many more interesting things.
      It is definitely worth a careful visit and it takes about a couple of days to see everything.
      Pottery handicrafts and interesting and pleasant restaurants.
      Good walk.

    Wow!!! Spectacular place! I am planning to buy a new screen inspired by your videos. I currently watch on a small laptop but your videos are so amazing I want them on the biggest screen possible - as soon as I am able (large screen as a smart TV) I can’t thank you enough for your videos. I love to read the information you put on the videos about each place - it’s actually better than what you learn being there on location (I did a couple of tours when I visited the city of Catania in Sicily but the information in your video is much more detailed and is way more informative). I realise it must take you a HUGE amount of time. I wanted to let you to know that us followers really do appreciate the time and energy you put into what you create. The videos you produce are beautifully authentic and make us feel like we are really there walking with you. A million thanks❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏

      Hey, you are very welcome. It nice to know the videos are connecting with people. Yeah, the captions are what take me the longest for sure. It's fun. I enjoy learning about each place as I go but it does take a while. I actually paid a Catania tour guide to write most of the captions for my Catania walk. That was my first time doing that. I had to rewrite most of the captions and it took several hours but it was worth it. I'm glad the videos have motivated you to upgrade too. I think will enjoy the videos even more. I am uploading a video of Naples right now that I filmed yesterday but instead of being a walk, it is just individual scenes of places around the city. I hope you enjoy it. Thanks for watching!

    Hi Team prowalk,
    I enjoyed this walk again, it was so relaxing for me, I´m sitting here on a rainy, gray winterday in the south of Germany and I´m looking forward to travel
    to the sunny side of life again ...
    I´m using here in my home-office 3 computers and 3 screens to follow your walks, the widescreen for the walk itselve, one screen at the right for the ►Map of the Walk◄
    in Goggle Maps to follow all details and one notebook screen at the left to translate some possible words in your subtitles to German, because one reason for my
    ProWalk fellowship is to improve my English language skills ...
    May be I´ll send you again a Mail with some detailled questions and remarks to your fascinating ProWalk activities.
    Greetings from Southern Germany
    Michel

      Prowalks team? :) I wish I had a team! :)..but it is just me. Sounds like you have a nice setup. ..and speaking of setup, did you see the pics I posted of my camera setup? I still need to post a few pics of my biking setup but I just haven't got that far yet. I know you just said you are working on improving your English, but did you know that TH-cam can translate the captions into almost any language? Feel free to send an e-mail any time. The channel is getting to be a bit overwhelming at times, so I tend to be slow to respond but I will do my best. I hope you are doing well there in Germany. It is supposed to rain here all week too.

    Just a FYI, at 1:35:10 at the Church of Peter and Paul in the close captioning, you refer to stopping at the second door on the way down. It's missed on the return trip. It's no biggie but you may want to amend the close caption. Stunning town!!!!

      @ProWalks  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Maggie, thanks for that. :) I filmed that part of the walk twice. I ended up using the second version in the final video...but when I was writing my captions I was remembering the first walk when I did stop at the door on the way back. I'll go edit that caption now. :)

    CORRECTION: Acropolis means "city on the edge" Ακρος/Akros means to the far side of something. Usually an Acropolis is BUILD on a hill with abrupt edges, the word does not have the meaning "high up on a hill/or hill at all" :) .

    • @kaloarepo288
      @kaloarepo288 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      But acros also refers to the peak or top of something as in word "acrobat' and "acrophobia" -fear of heights.

    • @aetherion7
      @aetherion7 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kaloarepo288 Yes, i know this. "Akro-s" can mean edge, extreme or highest. But Acropolis alone, does not mean "high up on a hill", which was my point.

    You know what could be cool though. End your drone work by ascending to earth, to the exact spot you start your walk from, then start walking. If you have an extra person to operate the drone you could have the drone focus on you as it's ascending downwards

    • @ProWalks
      @ProWalks  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, I've wanted to do that but I'm just a one man operation. Also, I often fly the drone after I'm done walking or on another day. I'll see what I can do though. I should be able to pull it off at some point. :)

    • @ikigai47
      @ikigai47 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ProWalks - crazy to think this is just one man. You could still do a form of that though. Drone ascends to you, it shows you're operating the drone. As soon as it lands you start walking away from it in its field of vision (only a few steps to create the illusion you've started your long walk and are abandoning your drone). Then in post you immediately cut to your walking cam view so it looks seamless. Just an idea. I love drones so I think of stupid things like this. Anyway, keep up the great work brother. You really help people that can't vacation anymore. Even my mom loves your channel.
