I want to paint my house exterior. My house is newly built. I have some queries regarding exterior painting. My painter suggested me to do first (putty+marble dust)2 coat, then exterior primer 1 coat, then asian paints apex ultima 2 coat.
1) What kind of putty is best for exterior?
2) If I put exterior primer after putty, do I have to apply ultima protek base coat? Or can I directly apply top coat after applying primer ?

acrylic wall putty is very low strange... and makes wall dirt easily... cement-based putty is not great looking... mixing plaster of Paris with cement base putty is a better idea,

As always, very informative. I would just like to add that in my personal experience with putty products in India, all the reputable brands in the market let me down (Asian, Birla, Laticrete). The best one so far for me was Rafsazz German dry mortars.

Before recoating walls with limewash or chuna, which putty is most suitable to apply to fill dents and repair cracks over previously limewashed walls and will tolerate the high alkalinity of the limewash re-coat and not peel off? Kindly reply and thanks in advance.

@@zeewise7671 None. I've been advised POP by some, which however is not suitable for damp walls. Others have advised using any good quality branded white cement based putty mixed with a waterproofing compound.
