Man just seeing Luigi cry hysterically because of his brother being safe makes me tear up :')
For a moment I he was sweating but I guess not
After all that shit Luigi had to go through; catching 50 boos going out the hall and back into the room continuously, going through a scary ass blackout, catching all the ghosts in the mansion and fighting bowser just to save Mario. Luigi is the best brother ever.
Don't forget it happened twice.

They both are good brothers.. In Super Mario Galaxy Mario saves Luigi from the Ghostly Mansion galaxy.
The scene when he grabs Mario's painting makes me emotional. Kids who played this game have just witnessed Luigi save their childhood.
In my opinion this is the best video game ending .
if you beat the game for the first time, this cut scene is so rewarding.
Kids see how Luigi not as bad as they think he is. Luigi saved his brother. Luigi saved our childhood. That's our reward.
When luigi sees mario for the first time, after going through ghost after ghost, whimpering in fear, still managing to keep going. You'd think he'd stop. But he doesn't. He keeps going until the end. When he finaly gets his brother back, he stands there, crying because he got his brother back. The one person he looks up to.
Every time i watch this, i nearly cry.
Probably the only Mario game where full emotions are put into place.
Ending made me cry...:)

Yeah, but in the Mario and Luigi series, you see it a lot too, usually when they get split up and hug each other when they get back together. There's also of course whenever one of them gets knocked out, the other is shocked and picks them up to protect them from harm. It's all quite nice.
that last bit with the music and luigi laughing always gets to me.
I like how they make ghosts into paintings and to get Mario to not be a painting they just did a reverse action

The first time I saw this ending, I cried, just look at how happy Luigi was when he rescued his brother... They'll go through anything at all to save each other...
This is an ending you cannot hate. Nintendo really did well with putting those emotions in that scene.
You never see mario and luigi have real feelings for each other but its probably the most epic and sentimentle momment in all of gamming history when mario gets out of the machine and you see luigi cry and laugh...its just perfect! Luigi mansion was an amazing game when i was 7-8 and now that im 16 and dont play video games anymore...i still love luigi mansion
Lol this ending cutscene though, it must be my favorite out of all Mario games. Well... Games where Mario appeared in cuz i don't wanna get replies of some kind like "Luigi's Mansion isn't a Mario game, it's a game starring Luigi"

This is what i came 7:41 for still brings a tear to my eye, that whole chain of events to bring Mario back. So funny and cute how Luigis cries out of happiness.

7:46 as you can see, below Mario is a picture of three ghost sitting around a table playing cards. Yet, there was a 1 second video of them at space world 2001. And yet were taken out, and that is the only thing in the game showing the three gone ghost. But why would they have taken them out ,and why would professor E Gadd put them on the machine and not in the gallery? Would they be professor E Gadds friends that passed away? Will anyone figure out why they where taken out? Or will it remain a mystery?
They would of been a awesome fit for the game Nintendo! Just sayin............

This game scared the crap out of me when I was younger. I never quite made it to the end so I decided to watch this... jesus christ, I don't know why but as soon as King Boo turned around and laughed, I jumped. They definitely knew how to make this game creepy.
This video was one of the first videos of video games on TH-cam that I saw.
That laugh at the end is the most relieving sound I've ever heard.

when you'r at the beginning when the game gets explained and you wait about 3 till 5 minutes there will suddenly come a weird song that actually always comes at some point in games that have a special person as a sound producer

Awww, it brings me to tears when Luigi had gone through ALL that just to save his brother, and cries tears of joy. I did too when i beat this. For the first gamecube game, this should be considered the BEST gamecube game. Nintendo, you win again!

Funny thing about the final boss:
Back then when the game first came out, one of my friends had said to me, "What if the final boss was Bowser?" I replied, "No way! This is a haunted mansion that has nothing to do with Bowser."
Then, when I saw my brother fight King Boo and Bowser, I'm all, "Oh shoot, my friend was right; you do fight Bowser!" (Even though he's just a robot and not the main final boss.)
The ending is such a touching and loving moment..

After getting scared, capturing goast, my bad spelling, and saving Mario... It's nice to say "I TOLD U UR NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO SAVES UR BRO." and have a good laugh

Back when I wasn't even in school yet, my dad took me and my brother to my grandma every single morning. After eating our donuts there, we either played Goldeneye or this game. I remember my brother and I being on this part, it used to scare me so bad, especially the Luigi turning the doorknob. Anyways, my grandma died last Februrary, and after today we will not longer own that house. This game is still in my memory though.
0:29 - Doh! He missed a Sapphire! If you shake the right chandelier, a sapphire will pop out. I know that because I inspected most everything in every room when I played the game.

I always seem to mess up on the last battle, and lose most of my health. It's cool to note that his sounds after he beats the boss is still his 'almost dead' sounds... If that makes any sense. Lol.

It's nice to finally see Mario get taken down a peg... Especially when I continuously see Luigi getting put on the back burner.
The whole mansion will be mirror-inverted in Secret Mansion mode.
Furthermore all ghosts are even stronger and harder to suck in.
This game is very VERY underrated.

Yeah the very first game on release along with 17 others or so. This was a fun game while it lasted. You could play through it in about 4 hours because it was pretty short. Great game to play on those long, cold nights.
Beating the game once would unlock the hard mode of the game although it isn't much harder... The ghosts do hit harder but your vacuum is actually stronger.
The ending is pretty funny. Loved the way they did Mario's character model here too.
I love it how they finally made a game for Luigi to be the hero :D!

if you think about it, king boo is the scariest mario enemy because he actually managed to capture him. bowser has tried on more than 10 occasions an still fails.
If anyone ever needs a refresher on why Luigi is the best Mario brother, just show them the ending cutscene of this game. 😉

Hard to believe Luigi has seen scarier things than this.
Why did he do that? Mario was Luigi's true arch-nemesis. He got all the fame and Luigi was left in the dust. Luigi should have just bought his own mansion and kept Mario in the painting while he took over as Nintendo's mascot. Ah, sibling rivalry.
This game was my childhood. The first game I ever got. It warms my heart to see it again.
I thought that the lesson was to never click on pop-up ads that say that you won a mansion for free. Because you will become a Ghostbuster.

I really don't care what anyone thinks about this game. I like it. It's actually quite satisfying to suck up ghosts with a vacuum- stereotypical, yet satisfying nonetheless!
Every Halloween night(around 8 pm)I turn the lights off an play Luigi's mansion alone in my room in the dark for the next 4 hours(since that's how long it takes me to beat it).
so many Ghostbusters references xD, first, the last battle is like the Ghostbusters battle with gozer and bowser is clearly stay puft, second, where they turn the ghosts into portraits is clearly like the containment area, third, (obvious) the polturgust is like the proton pack and the game boy horror is like the pke meter =)

You have to get all 120 stars and fight bowser a secound time. At the end of the credits you will see a confirmation of unlocking the ability to play the game again as luigi.

MORE LUIGI! He's my favourite character by far. He's a bit of a coward, but also more human that way.
