if your confused, why they refer to themselves as the queens guard is because their drill team descends from the national guard which descends from the royal guard which is Queen liliu'okalani's guard from When hawai'i was a kingdom
Edit: national Guard's drill team refers to themselves as the Kings Guard. either that of the Kamehameha dynasty's or Kalakaua's

I'm sure the blue coats were the Hawaiian King's Guard. These are the Royal Guards, so maybe a uniform change. I'm not sure how everything works, but that's the most I know. I hope it helps bro
