I think the thing is.... is to get a rope that doesn't want to stretch if you're going to use it for that application.... Which are things that you already went over and told me.... or us ...... Sir I hope you become a college professor.
.. somebody has taught you the importance of being able to explain yourself you need to be teaching students new engineers I hope you become a college professor..,. You have a gift.....
Here's some of my thoughts... You ever notice when you're towing a vehicle and you come to a stop and both vehicles are sitting still but the chain or whatever is still tight.... The vehicle in front is in park.... And the chain has to be disconnected but it's got tension on it cuz it's still tight.... And I've seen this and done it... You walk over to the center of the chain and you stand up on it and jump.... And for a split second that rear vehicle gets an ungodly amount of Force on it very quickly.... And it literally leaps forward about 6 ft....
Here's another thought instead of using a rope using a piece of half inch rebar.... Attached one end to the object being pulled.... And weld the other end to a very solid stationary anchor..... Or how about use a turnbuckle you know like truckers use and get that rebar good and tight and then go to the center and pull.... And then let's get real fancy ...let's hook up a scale up in there and see how much force it will create. I think inertia is the key component.... The component that gets things going real quick.... And then there's acceleration... And then the force of gravity.... I'd be curious to what some engineering students would comment on.... I'm just a machinist my dad was an engineer.... But I have lots of interest thanks for making this TH-cam video..... Some people are fascinated by things like this and you can literally create engineers by creating interests like this..... Thanks again

@@GearGarageTV absolutely profound..... Thank you so much for your service.... Such an interesting world we live in.
I was watching a bee hover like a helicopter going from flower to flower... It's so amazing it helps me believe in God.
