there was an incident in a Norwich vs Ipswich derby game years ago, (in the nineties I believe), when the referee famously changed his mind over a penalty decision. Ipswich fans were fuming over that one

The standard of refereeing in the top two divisions in England is now beyond pathetic and embarrassing. VAR is NOT being used correctly in the Prem and there MUST be an extensive review in the summer with regards it's application..
I remember the Cardiff match when they were in the Premier League under Neil. The absolutely stupid referee's decision did not allow the team to score 3 points and leave the relegation zone. Sometimes I watch the Premier League and there is a feeling that the some judges are simply bribed.
The non stop diving/cheating that we are now seeing right through the British game has mainly come about due to the decision by the footballing powers to 'deliberately trivialise the dishonesty' that we see in the game today. Something that they do of course, by openly referring to the diving/cheating that we see as either 'gamesmanship or simulation'. And yes, had they actually stamped down on the diving/cheating a long time ago. Instead of giving a 'green light' to those who are as dishonest as they did. Well, things would now not be in such a terrible mess. Cheers!

Boro v Swansea. The Referee today was absolutely ridiculous. I'm not sure if the EFL like boro at all. Warnock has every right to complain. And if he gets fined or punished or whatever like that, then its clear that someone just either dislikes boro or they just don't care. You could a right a list of fouls in the Championship that boro should've got and they were either not given, or given against them. Its ridiculous. For example Example Middlesbrough V Blackburn. Boro CB deal Fry literally gets kicked in the head by a Blackburn player. No foul. The Blackburn player didn't even get a card. Dael has had to get substituted off and get his eye stitched and he has had to miss a few games. Honestly sort it out referees and officials please guys
