Hi Kim! We got one hour of strong sun here in Ventura County today😄 I hope you did too! Looks like we’ll see sunny days starting Thursday 🎉 Question: When bottom watering, how much do you recommend filling the bottom tray? Would a 1/4 way up be enough?
I usually go about halfway until the top of soil turns dark brown. Of course, the drier your soil is (by color) the more water you'll need to fill? Hope this helps - K
I watched this multiple times! Such great information. I have been adding Vermisterra worm castings to my seed starting mix. I’m wondering if my seedlings are benefiting from the castings or if I’m wasting my money because it’s not in liquid form. Any thoughts?
They are absolutely benefitting! Worm castings are time released so they keep on over the long haul. The vitality (liquid) is quickly absorbed! BOTH, are beneficial, Becky! Great question - K
Hi Kim, I'm having an issue with bottom watering. My soil in the top of the pot is not getting any moisture. I'm using your soil mix (3 ingredients) and 2.5 Bootstrap pots and trays. I'm leaving pots in the water for over 30 minutes.
Hi ! This length of time may be too long - overwatering. Try lessening that time incrementally. Try for 20 mins. and let's see where that goes, there could be other factors but let's start there! Are you in a humid room/area? K

Thanks for the reply. I use my garage for starting seeds. The temp stays a 70 degrees. The humidity fluctuates based on our weather.

Kim I am so guilty of everything you talked about In your video I am going to set a reminder to not do any of those things
