He’s got really good body control for someone his size, but his route running isn’t great and he doesn’t do well against press coverage. He almost makes up for the press coverage thing with how much of a monster he is with the 50/50 ball though. Hopefully he goes to a team with a savvy route runner to teach him a few things.
@@lukehoward3168 yeah he isn’t that sudden outta the break in his routes. Like you said tho he’s a smooth runner for a guy that big, rly looks like he’s gliding out there sometimes
I worry about his route running. He doesnt run a diverse route tree. Great athlete with break away speed. Really good at jump balls. Needs to be a more engaged and aggressive blocker. If he knows the ball is not coming to him he runs a lazy route a few times.
Why are you worried about that ..... He is still learning his craft and he will get better at it. There is no denying he has great talent and he will be playing on Sundays while you watch him from you living room.
He's more of a freak, but Metcalf basically only ran go routes. It was so bad trying to see him turn around on a comeback route during practice as a rookie.
I think Mr. Treylon Burks will get better when he gets to the next level. If he has a chance to get better I think he would with the type of athletic ability he has he is better than what Philly has right now. I don't think he is lazy, that's just how you see it I think he has to get stronger in his lower body to become a better down field blocker which would add to his overall game.
Trey Burks is the BEST WR in the draft! ESPN listed “6’3, 225 lbs”…versatile, solid, not scared to go across middle, solid effort in run blocking, wins 50-50 balls, HIGH potential. Get this guy around a veteran, and he will soak it up the knowledge like a sponge, and just be DOMINANT. I hope the Browns draft him as he fills a NEED and will be productive in the NFL #GoBrowns #DawgNation #ClevelandBrowns
I see a lot of people try and compare Treylon to Deebo- even he compared himself to Deebo. I don't see it that way. I think thats much more of a reflection of the role he played at Arkansas, and likely won't play in the NFL. I see him much more like another receiver in the 2019 class: AJ Brown. He's not such a precise route runner, but he's got a phenomenal release package. He's a guy who you can throw the ball to and-as long as its within 3 ft- he'll consistently make the catch. He plays with some speed, but a lot of his speed is reliant on his pure strength- watch his stiff arm and the way he muscles around corners to make catches. His 40 time reflected that consensus as well.
Burks is 16 not 20. Good video though. I want this guy on the patriots. When I mention burks In my mock I’m gonna mention your channel and this video if you’d like.
Watching this is so frustrating. You’ve got a top WR in the nation and you run hand offs & run QB draws. Burks numbers definitely should’ve been higher.
I give the Razorbacks credit for going to battle like true warriors, everyone except Burks who was only there for himself and played lazy when he wasn't getting the ball. He couldn't get separation past the line of scrimmage and will get exposed in the NFL.
Long strider… no real breakaway speed.. Joe Douglas will pass. Kenyon Green, Nakobe Dean and Kyle Hamilton are better options. Rather have Prude’s David Bell.
Having David Bell over Burks is a spicy fucking take. If you say a dude that's outrunning 4.4 DB's has no breakaway speed I think you gotta get your eyes checked
Catch @6:03 big man outruns DB's that run 4.4 ... ELITE WR

Alabama DBs were tired though
Ran a 4.55 at combine. Seems more like a Jarvis Landry / Michael Thomas type to me than an AJ Brown
@@supremeenchilada8725 he ran a 4.5. AJ Brown ran a 4.48😂😂
Arkansas as a team showed unbelievable effort in this game.

You Know they said the same thing about Ja'Marr Chase turns out he just looks slow even though he is the fastest on the field
Route tree overrated in this call everything pass interference NFL

4.34 at 225 pounds is ELITE
He’s a Nkeal Harry clone, bad route runner
WR 1, I’m very confident Joe Douglas will fall in love with him.
he wont
Nah… no thanks. Christian Watson a better fit. Can’t take Burks at #10 Overall.
Please god no, London and Wilson are future all pros this guy is slow and not shifty no full route tree, will be good but no
@@piddlepiepoo he didn’t say to take him at 10 tho ain’t no WR bout to go that high

Linear athlete. Good straight line speed. Not very sudden. Physical. Raw route runner.
Sounds like you are describing dk metcalf huh

The video says burks is 21. He’s 16 on Arkansas.
Can patriots get him?
He's one lower leg injury (God forbid) from being built like a TE. I personally don't see the 1st round projections he's getting.
future browns hall of famer
Jets brought me here
Allen lazard and deebo samuel mixed
Size/speed combination is rare. I bet he runs 4.4

Burks takes too many plays off. Literally like 70 percent of these plays he's going half speed.
He was also injured

To be honest.. the more i see Christian Watson, the more I prefer him. Pass on Burks, especially at #10 Overall.
