"If I sow a wind now, I will reap a storm..." One of my favorite lines of any song ever. I don't know what it is about that one particular line but it's absolutely perfect.
Probably my second favorite song from Katatonia (after Departer). The lyrics, particularly during the chorus have always resonated with me, I often find myself shedding tears thinking about those last few lines in particular - "Tomorrow, who will come and put their hand over mine? Mine with the burning shape of a gun." It's shattering how beautiful and heartbreaking those are, and how much I've been able to completely feel that exact way. I am alone, and always will be. I want to be wiped from existence but always have hope, as foolish as it may be to keep it, that maybe someday someone will accept me for who I am and stop me from pulling the trigger on ending it all.
White sun Spring of wealth Come for a good time It's not what I have Vibrate Life on the line My racing heart Your vacant mind If I sow a wind now I will reap a storm You saw me sliding away from the sun And tomorrow Who will come And put their hand over mine Mine with the burning shape of a gun Washed out Soul of money Couldn't keep the fire It's not what I do Vibrate Life on the line My racing heart It's all I find Inside the sickness Rest Inside the sickness Rest If I sow a wind now I will reap a storm You saw me sliding away from the sun And tomorrow Who will come And put their hand over mine Mine with the burning shape of a gun
Heard Katatonia first when I was 18. Now I'm 26, I keep learning from life and revisit this band. I find more meanings. Thank you for your beautiful music and inspiration!
WOW! Frigin Amazing. I found this band from a school trip to Oslo, Norway. I thought i might get something European and metal so i gave Tonight's Decision a listen to. Thought that was pretty good but i forgot all about them for about ten years until i was able to finally acquire Internet. Now there one of my top favs. This song stopped me in my tracks last night on Pandora. Listened to it about five times with lyrics trying to figure out whats going on here. Found this just now. And read a comment on an orginal version before about a lady who suffered cancer and said this song helped her through. I myself have a muscular dystrophy and a Racing Heart from time to time.
Not sure if you did the editing on this but excellent job. The angles, the lighting, clean sound, and synchronization make this a masterpiece. Lesser known but still valuable. Thank you.
Katatonia are one of my all time favourite bands, with Jonas being in my top 3 vocalists....but I kind of wish they would put the vocal harmonies on a backing track, because every time I've seen them, and in most live videos I've watched, they are pretty much always slightly off.
This version transforms the originally awesome version into quite possibly the most beautiful song I have ever heard in my life.
That man is legendary when he says (my racing heart) you feel like you're in heaven. What a divine voice.
One of the best melodic metal bands. Lyrics so powerfull you can listen over and over and always discover someting new each time.

+1 my fav vocalist
Jonas's voice haunts my brain daily!
Always knew racing heart would be perfect for an acoustic version. Damn. The feels.

White sun
Spring of wealth
Come for a good time
It's not what I have
Vibrate
Life on the line
My racing heart
Your vacant mind
If I sow a wind now
I will reap a storm
You saw me sliding away from the sun
And tomorrow
Who will come
And put their hand over mine
Mine with the burning shape of a gun
Washed out
Soul of money
Couldn't keep the fire
It's not what I do
Vibrate
Life on the line
My racing heart
It's all I find
Inside the sickness
Rest
Inside the sickness
Rest
If I sow a wind now
I will reap a storm
You saw me sliding away from the sun
And tomorrow
Who will come
And put their hand over mine
Mine with the burning shape of a gun
The lyrics are deep; dark and poetic. Still the goat of melodic

Was waiting for the a'capella at the end :/ great performance thou
That's a live rendition of the version from "Dethroned and Uncrowned", which is trimmed a bit. Not the original from "Dead End Kings".
