Then, the lady who played her sister was getting her own series on NBC. Then, the lady that played her mom and others that came on there for guest roles were well known actors and, actresses and, so, was Billy G. and, he has also now lost a lot of weight and, he has a new series Bob Hearts Abisola!

Unlike when Melissa dropped weight when she was still on 'Mike & Molly' and looked healthy. Mike & Molly was a great show and I never thought it was cancelled due to Melissa's weight loss. It was never really a ratings smash for CBS (who knows why...great cast!) however, it still held its own in the ratings and is even funnier in reruns.
I miss this show so much! Real people, dysfunctional family, so relatable. Loved the whole cast! Loved the friendship between Mike and Carl, Vince and Joyce, Nana, and of course Victoria and Samuel. Never be another. All great actors in one sitcom, su h a rarity! Wish they would make another that would match this one! ✌️

I wasn't a big fan of her character but all the rest were the incredible ones. I would watch a show just with Vince, Peggy, and Nana. I've got relatives that are all versions of those characters

I watched this show and liked it. It improved tremendously when they cut way back on the "fat" jokes and concentrated on the interactions of the quirky characters.
I LOVED this show and just a few months after my mom died in 2011 is when Melissa won the Emmy (I cried when they announced her name) ... And it gave us the opportunity to release that the beautiful & hilarious Katy Mixon could be a comic lead of her own "American Housewife," gave Billy Gardell a chance to move on to "Young Sheldon" & "Bob Hearts Abishola" plus having his own incredible weight loss journey. And lets not forget outstanding supporting roles played by Reno Wilson (Carl), Swoozie Kurtz (Joyce), Rondi Reed (Peg), Nyambi Nyambi (Samuel), Louis Mustillo (Vince), David Anthony Higgins (Harry) & my personal favorite, Cleo King (Rosetta). Plus, I love the fact that they had to put a grey wig on Rosetta as her real age was close to Reno's.
I don't care how it was cancelled. I want them to come back and continue the family life. I watch them very weekend on TV Land and wish they would have a come back.

I loved this show and watch in in reruns to this day. If they were going to bring back a show I wish it would be this one. The cast were awesome, the ploy lines were easy to followed and the show was funny as hell.

The fact that Cleo had to wear a wig cuz Reno & Cleo were nearly the same age shows what “acting” means. I didn’t hear rumors about why Mike & Molly were cancelled but a M&M reunion is “PAST DUE”! WOW... I had no idea that the show was cancelled due to Melissa's too much weight loss . I loved M&M (still do). It was one of my best sitcom show I ever watched and still do (reruns)... Of course after Two and a Half (with Charlie) and Everybody loves Raymond. Sitcom's like that aren't produced anymore. what a bummer.
I did hear that rumor that mike & molly were canceled because of their weight loss. Mike & Molly was hilarious! The episode where she gets high on cold medicine was so funny! We had it recorded so we watched it a lot. From the time she’s singing out her door, let’s go sweater boy, to the moment where she plucked out his bothersome nose hair.... nonstop laughs
Let's face it, every show, being a mega super hit or otherwise, it will always come to an end. Let's just be happy that these days we can all rewatch and binge on the series we love over and over again via the internet... 😃😃
Extremely funny show! In many ways the secondary characters were funnier than Mike and Molly, especially the two moms! I miss it and it ended way too soon. There were many more laughs that we never got.

Weight loss could have been a whole topic on it own! Especially since they met at an overeaters anonymous meeting,adopting a baby and then actually being pregnant!
Love the show. Don't believe it got cancelled because of Melissa losing weight. If anything, with her and Billy losing so much weight it could've easily have been an inspirational story.
I think they were the cuter, sweeter reflection of Dan & Rosanne without the depressing life style. I wish they had started their weight loss journeys while on the show as they both have successful losses & would have been a unique story line that no sitcoms has tackled.
This is one show where all the characters were equally loved by me. If they took anyone of them away it would ruin the show. I really love Carl and his grandma's relationship.
Always enjoyed mikes momma! Hilarious woman. And then Mike and Molly were great, of course. Being set in Chicago was also nice. I’m tired of all the sitcoms being set in NYC or LA. We get a lot of crime, procedural, and drama’s set in Chicago but very few sitcoms. It just worked well here. I definitely miss the show! The thing about that show is they could bring it back at anytime and just pick up where it left off and it would work just fine.
I really enjoy your videos. I watch them every day it seems. They are always well-scripted and the narrator does an amazing job. The only thing I wish for was that your video clips or pictures matched what the narrator is saying more often.
I should check out Mike & Molly sometime. But during the run of the series, 2013 was a big year for Melissa McCarthy. My favorite movies of hers are Identity Theif and Hangover Part III.
I loved the show, it didn't matter to me about their weight. I just want them to be healthy. Every person I can think of didn't live long because of their weight. Cas Elliott from the Mama's and Papa's. John Candy and others. It's heart breaking when they die.
I love The King Of Queens. Doug and Carrie were a fantastic match for this sitcom. They were hilarious. A well written series that also ended with an adopted baby and then finding out Carrie was going to have her own. I like Mike and Molly because they kind of remind me s bit of King of Queens. The shows have similar qualities. Where one had a Father in law living with them (Jerry Stiller) and the other Mike and Molly had a mother that was always a big part of the show.
I always liked Mike and Molly. My wife and I enjoyed watching the show and loved the variety of characters that a part of the cast. I thought Melissa McCarthy was great in Bridesmaids as well and hope that she and Billy do well in their careers.
I'm thin n I liked watching Mike n Molly. They were always talking with raw sense. N also the humility over liking themselves n just getting on with daily life. And the old bird n disfunctional sister n friends. Ace.

Mike and Molly was a awesome show and I watch it whenever it's on TV. My boyfriend doesn't like it very much but he tolerates it because he loves me. He's more into cowboys than sitcoms lol 😂. But it's like in the series we found love with one another despite being different ages ( he's 75 and I'm 49.) We love each other and age doesn't matter.😊❤️💙
The episode where Molly had to take care of her mom's boyfriend because he threw out his back. That was hilarious 🤣. I also liked the episode where she was enforcing Christmas ⛄🎄 to the way she likes it.

I had heard that it was because of her weight loss, but that didn't make sense. Anyway, she was terrific in "Can You Forgive Me?" I heard she's not always that nice to fans. That would suck.
Do you know why Mike and Molly was canceled? Because the ratings went down every year and in the final season they were ranked 51st this nonsense about they didn’t renegotiate Melissa McCarthy‘s contract because they said it was going to eat up the majority of the money? That’s total BS because they were going to go to syndication and syndication is where the big money is…. And this was a Chuck Lorre show so how come the cast of the big bang theory another Chuck Lorre show was making like $1 million an episode? And on the big bang theory other than Johnny Galecki there were no real big names there, The difference being they had big ratings and they were climbing and staying high. No the reason why Mike and Molly was canceled was because the shell was dropping…
Melissa McCarthy mistakenly believes she has a wider appeal than she really does. I like her, but she is not as talented as her die-hard fans believe she is. Also.. the show wasn't really that good.
I loved M & M. My favorite episode was when Vince hurt his back and Molly had to get him out of the tub. The whole cast worked so well together it was like they really were family. Melissa and Bens marriage is definitely enviable. They make each other laugh and when they’re standing together you can almost see the little hearts floating around them.
I loved the that show, but I was not "devastated" when it was canceled. To me, their weight the MOST irrelevant part of the show. Molly was by far my least favorite characters. I wish there had been far less of her in the script. She really added very little to the show. All the other characters were fantastic.
So it was cancelled for the usual reasons, greed and self importance, I would prefer the weight rumor. It was a great sit com featuring many other amazing stars besides Melissa McCarthy. The cast was stellar. Cancelling it was a huge mistake, IMO, and the show was not popular only because of MM. It never would have reached the popularity it did without great writing and the comedic talent of those three mothers in it and Swoozi Kurtz and her Italian beau! The young woman who played her sister was equally as talented. This show was hardly just about MM.
I’m a Hugh fan of Melissa McCarthy, she had several interviews where she said the show was cancelled due to financial reasons, and it this weight thing being spoken here as the reason is wrong. She even said she was very upset about the cancellation because this was like a second family to her, the show was very close & dear to her heart.
All I know is I was one of this show's biggest fans and I miss it a lot. I watch reruns when possible. I had no clue why it was canceled. I figured it had to do with the new children somehow.
Funny how the REAL reason the show was canceled is not mentioned, even though it was all over the MSM. Melissa McCarthy QUIT the show to spend more time concentrating on her movie career. That is why the show was canceled, you can't have Mike & Molly with no Molly.
I fell in love with Mike and Molly b/c the show did not revolve around characters that resembled Barbie & Ken. There was not a character on this show that we could not relate to. I still watch it to this day. There will never be another show like Mike and Molly.

I should check out Mike & Molly sometime. But during the run of the series, 2013 was a big year for Melissa McCarthy. My favorite movies of hers are Identity Theif and Hangover Part III.

I loved the show, it didn't matter to me about their weight. I just want them to be healthy. Every person I can think of didn't live long because of their weight. Cas Elliott from the Mama's and Papa's. John Candy and others. It's heart breaking when they die.

I love The King Of Queens. Doug and Carrie were a fantastic match for this sitcom. They were hilarious. A well written series that also ended with an adopted baby and then finding out Carrie was going to have her own. I like Mike and Molly because they kind of remind me s bit of King of Queens. The shows have similar qualities. Where one had a Father in law living with them (Jerry Stiller) and the other Mike and Molly had a mother that was always a big part of the show.

I always liked Mike and Molly. My wife and I enjoyed watching the show and loved the variety of characters that a part of the cast. I thought Melissa McCarthy was great in Bridesmaids as well and hope that she and Billy do well in their careers.
I began watching BOB❤️ABISHOLA because of Billy but Melissa was never that funny to me. She's better as a dramatic actor than a comedian

Six seasons is a good run. I wish the last season had been a full 20+ episodes instead of just 13. 🙁
I'm thin n I liked watching Mike n Molly. They were always talking with raw sense. N also the humility over liking themselves n just getting on with daily life. And the old bird n disfunctional sister n friends. Ace.
Ghostbusters was a remake, not a reboot. A reboot would have the same people playing the same characters.

Mike and Molly was a awesome show and I watch it whenever it's on TV. My boyfriend doesn't like it very much but he tolerates it because he loves me. He's more into cowboys than sitcoms lol 😂. But it's like in the series we found love with one another despite being different ages ( he's 75 and I'm 49.) We love each other and age doesn't matter.😊❤️💙

The episode where Molly had to take care of her mom's boyfriend because he threw out his back. That was hilarious 🤣. I also liked the episode where she was enforcing Christmas ⛄🎄 to the way she likes it.

There are several articles out there on why it ended. CBS lost its contact with Warner Brothers. Melissa and the rest of the cast wanted to go on. Facts

Yes, that’s what everybody thought was that She lost weight and it didn’t match the theme of the show anymore
I had heard that it was because of her weight loss, but that didn't make sense. Anyway, she was terrific in "Can You Forgive Me?" I heard she's not always that nice to fans. That would suck.
Do you know why Mike and Molly was canceled? Because the ratings went down every year and in the final season they were ranked 51st this nonsense about they didn’t renegotiate Melissa McCarthy‘s contract because they said it was going to eat up the majority of the money? That’s total BS because they were going to go to syndication and syndication is where the big money is…. And this was a Chuck Lorre show so how come the cast of the big bang theory another Chuck Lorre show was making like $1 million an episode? And on the big bang theory other than Johnny Galecki there were no real big names there, The difference being they had big ratings and they were climbing and staying high. No the reason why Mike and Molly was canceled was because the shell was dropping…

Melissa McCarthy mistakenly believes she has a wider appeal than she really does. I like her, but she is not as talented as her die-hard fans believe she is.
Also.. the show wasn't really that good.
I loved M & M. My favorite episode was when Vince hurt his back and Molly had to get him out of the tub. The whole cast worked so well together it was like they really were family. Melissa and Bens marriage is definitely enviable. They make each other laugh and when they’re standing together you can almost see the little hearts floating around them.
I loved the that show, but I was not "devastated" when it was canceled. To me, their weight the MOST irrelevant part of the show.
Molly was by far my least favorite characters. I wish there had been far less of her in the script. She really added very little to the show. All the other characters were fantastic.

So it was cancelled for the usual reasons, greed and self importance, I would prefer the weight rumor. It was a great sit com featuring many other amazing stars besides Melissa McCarthy. The cast was stellar. Cancelling it was a huge mistake, IMO, and the show was not popular only because of MM. It never would have reached the popularity it did without great writing and the comedic talent of those three mothers in it and Swoozi Kurtz and her Italian beau! The young woman who played her sister was equally as talented. This show was hardly just about MM.

I’m a Hugh fan of Melissa McCarthy, she had several interviews where she said the show was cancelled due to financial reasons, and it this weight thing being spoken here as the reason is wrong. She even said she was very upset about the cancellation because this was like a second family to her, the show was very close & dear to her heart.
All I know is I was one of this show's biggest fans and I miss it a lot. I watch reruns when possible. I had no clue why it was canceled. I figured it had to do with the new children somehow.

Funny how the REAL reason the show was canceled is not mentioned, even though it was all over the MSM. Melissa McCarthy QUIT the show to spend more time concentrating on her movie career. That is why the show was canceled, you can't have Mike & Molly with no Molly.
I loved the show. I still watch the reruns. I wish they would've at leased made more episodes on the last seasons.

I fell in love with Mike and Molly b/c the show did not revolve around characters that resembled Barbie & Ken. There was not a character on this show that we could not relate to. I still watch it to this day. There will never be another show like Mike and Molly.
