Then back to the sixties and 70's to King Crimson, Frank Zappa, Larry Coryell. hope you enjoy a couple of those and keep jamming CHON :)

Everyone in this group fills the mix in SOOOOO well, it is mind blowing. The interplay between the guitars, the SICK bass bombs right at the beginning, and Nathan playing off of all of them super tight... These guys are seriously masters!

Me and a friend were talking about prog and math and he said Animals as Leaders was way better than Chon because Tosin is just an insanely talented player, but skill levels apart, I don't care who is better, I just prefer Chon's style. The harmonics and the connection between these guitar players is amazing.
This music is incredibly inspiring, even if I'm no where near your level. It's just fantastic to hear real music played by really talented artists. Fuck mainstream pop bullshit. Bands like these are the future.

Man Big ups to audio tree for the amazing quality and angles. Beautiful production alongside the band killin it. But the sound quality of the crisp drums sound way better than the studio version. So much more punch and crack to it. Wish the album version was like this.

+Ming Wu it's not just the amp. what you do is you turn on the dirty channel, turn the gain down as low as it can go, then crank the master. then it gives it a cruncy but clean tone. it's really fun to mess with :)
Unfortunately the music world isnt a friendly place far a band like this. they remind me of the early Yes. not that they in anyway sound like them but every musician in this band is Super strong and super technical but what i find is that they are all competing for the same space and sometimes being un necessarily complex. the melodic Groove gets lost in the shuffle. But for the Purist of Prog rock fans they are a breath of fresh air.I am mixed part of me is in awe out the raw musicianship they display and part of feels like their too busy being complex just to prove they can. its hard for this much talent to survive in one band , yes is the perfect example of that.
prog/jazz/fusion type bands arn't always pretentious. It's all a matter if you can personally relate to their unique sonic concoction of emotion. same goes for groups of people in general. you consider some people nice, talented, and appreciate their novel beauty but you prefer to relate with other individuals closer to you on the emotional spectrum. nothing wrong with that.

it may well be partially that, but even through my good headphones on studio recording the bass doesn't seem to be as prominent as it could be
