I'm all for you changing the setting to metric, it's how I play the game, despite me being more familiar with imperial. The game was built around the metric system, all of the weights and temperature changes will be much more even, so many more whole numbers. Even if you're unfamiliar with metric, it makes the game easier imo.
I did end up switching to metric in my own game even though I'm in the us. It just makes more sense since that's how they designed most of the numbers in the game.
Something cool about the animal fat for later game is that it can be combined with rose hips and cured meat to make pemican which is a very good survival food with a slower expiration rate and some decent boosts without having any negative status ailment
Whats funny is I got used to the metric system even being from the us I like that the weights feel more even like going in halfs aka .5kg instead of like 1.1 pounds
I dont know if im just insanely lucky, but a trick i do when crossing the bridges is to look foward, take my hand off my mouse and just press W until im on the other side
Just letting you know you should make ur main base at camp office there can be a moose spawn outside it now and I’m ash canyon there is a woodworking tools not saying where go find it
I have my game on imperial, but metric ain't bad i got inbetween the system to my liking and gameplay style, math and conversations were never hard for me so I never understood the whole metric vs imperial, being literate in math helps you understand numbers pretty well when it comes to measurement also screw Kelvin that system is weird.

If from the us but I'm so used to metric specifically for the long dark because that's what most people use, I think that would be great
