- The conference “The Performativity of Politics in Digital Media, Arts, and Culture” was held in collaboration between the University of Arts in Belgrade and the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire from October 16 to 19, 2024.
The main goal of the conference was to connect scientific research with artistic research practices. The focus was on the digital world, including all aspects of contemporary online and hybrid artistic and cultural expression: multimedia, electronic media, social media, TH-cam (and other video platforms such as Vimeo, Dailymotion, Instagram Reels, etc.), gaming, live theater, and film. This topic also allowed further exploration of the comparatively uncharted terrain of the performativity of political narratives in digital media and within the structures of the digital space.
