@@11riehldeal On a team that already had Wes Matthews, Batum, and Aldridge, it would have been hard to find Giannis any minutes at all. Part of the reason why Giannis development was so effective was because he was given minutes at point guard from his second year on. Had he been drafted by the Blazers, the pressure to win would have really hurt him.
Fuzzed-out part of draft board showed CJ at the top of their list, followed by Cody Zeller, followed by Kentavious Caldwell Pope. Also showed their then current roster broken down in depth chart.
What I remember from seeing the uncensored version was that it was the other way around. Zeller, KCP and then CJ. The other two were drafted and that left CJ
I wanna see a draft room where the FO is like F@#$!!! they took our guy and/or they pick a guy and at least one guy in the FO refuses to clap for him because he's butthurt they didn't take his guy.
How is there literally 20 guys in a room doing the job that 1-3 man team SHOULD be left alone to do??? The phrase “too many cooks in the kitchen” was invented for these kind of situations 🤦🏻♂️
To be fair, in hindsight, Blazers have generally do a decent draft job considering where in the draft they usually pick, there’s not a whole lotta pressure and can either swing for the fences or make some trades for a future move without too much fan scrutiny. It’s when a team has a top 5 or top 10 pick the microscope is really on the organisation to make the right pick. Never easy.
@@divad23 You have them in the room in case you big board goes of the rails. You have them to assess. You have executives, ownership, possibly coaches, secretaries, etc. It’s not that far fetched to have that many people.
Found this video after watching the Grantland Kings video where they drafted Nik Stauskus. Woo boy... lol
JAJAJA me 2... XD
x3
"Nerlens Noel traded for Jrue Holiday and a FRP"
Everyone:
JRUE HOLIDAY???!!!!
This video has aged so damn well!!
Except that we should have drafted Giannis

1-3 people can't scout every prospect in the country and overseas.
@@josereyes1148 agree, but they all shouldn’t be in the war room on draft night at decision time

Could’ve had giannis🤣
Still a good pick considering how bad that draft was
@@JackCallSports epically bad draft
In hindsight yes, but at that time? Probably not. Giannis was a VERY RAW prospect in 2013, which was why he was picked so low in the first place.
Dame just wasted his prime on this trash team and front office
