actually in my experience steel strongboxes tend to drop higher level gear, just with bad pre-augments or a really low grade. this method IS NOT meant to get you high grade gear, it's made to complete collections or to simply get low grade high-end gear (rubicon power assist for example does not require any augments to be good, and you want to get it as quickly as possible)
The reason I'm not recommending that method is because not every player farming that mode will have the necessary equipment to kill those bosses quickly. Not only that, but those bosses aren't guaranteed to drop strongboxes, either. The drops consist of cash, grenades, turrets, medkits, and strongboxes, which means you only have around a 20% chance to get a strongbox drop from said bosses. And like preet said, if you're hunting at a precise level range you'll end up gaining XP too quickly and odds are you'll level up before you can find the gear you're looking for.
You make a huge profit by selling the turrets you get from Killing Machine and Tank when you hit level 30. At level 30, all turrets are upgraded to their RED variants and sell for a higher price than their standard variants.
Why are you buying the perks at the start if youre just leaving the match, and not buying the only one that will seemingly help with the rarity of the strongbox found at the start?
Tank and Killing Machine both give you turrets and grenades, and before level 30 these two bonuses are extremely cheap only coming out to $3,600 if I'm remembering right. Once you hit level 30, all of your support items (turrets/grenades) will be upgraded to their RED variants, which will allow you to sell all of your support items for a MASSIVE profit which will give you enough money to upgrade many things. I highly recommend that you only purchase High Roller in Nightmare Mode, because the only strongbox tiers that matter are Steel, Molybdenum, SOMETIMES Promethium, and Nantoniums. If you're constantly buying High Roller, you're gonna go broke AND get no good items.
@@Spodeni have 15 points in pay grade so i dont lose money when i select all perks, im lvl 28, 3m in money with 5000 granades and a lot of turrets just doing the faction war method lol, i still have the skill reset for when i reach level 35

If you purchase High Roller outside of Nightmare Mode, you are wasting your money because they likelihood of a Nantonium strongbox dropping outside of NM is slim to none. You could likely play 100 normal games with High Roller and not see a single Nantonium strongbox. High Roller is ONLY worth purchasing in Nightmare Mode, because Nightmare Mode has a boosted Nantonium drop rate.

i got it on my first try
its better to farm on bosses kill like 7 and you get like 5 boxes easily
