Along with her loving heart, she had a deep sense of curiosity about others. This is what created her magic. When I was with Mother, it felt like being with my soul sister, my best friend. When Mother was with me, I knew everything would be alright. She had such a way of grounding me when I was upset, laughing with me through all the joys of life, and getting my head pointed in the right direction when I was feeling off track. We never had crosswords with each other; there was no need. We understood each other. She always treated me like I was one of her own. I never felt like an in-law, and she never treated me like one. I was included and valued. She was such a gift in my life, and I will always treasure our relationship.
