If you’re going out in actual snow, choose an alternative to jeans, which can get damp and take forever to dry (making you cold!). On moderately cold days, silk base layers are very thin (great under business or dressier outfits), feel luxurious, and move more easily under your clothing. 4. My favorite base layer for bitterly cold weather - as well as for snowshoeing & Nordic skiing - is merino wool. They provide enough coverage to protect your hands; but are thin enough to put mittens over. Especially if you are driving, it starts to snow; you go off the road. You could be there for hours; waiting for a tow truck; and you may not be able to run your engine. We all "throw on a couple of layers" and do the "door dash" from the car. This usually works fine until something happens. If you go off the road though; you may have to hike through some snow to get help. Be prepared. I put cleated snow boots; snow pants, winter coat, extra hat and gloves in a "carry on" bag in my car. I have one for me and one for my son. Besides your normal "road hazard assistance" gear; pack a "winter storm bug out of the car bag" for every household member; to store in the car during cold weather. Throw snack bars in it too. That bag might save your life.
***MY TIP*** My mom always told me to tuck in the base layer to keep your back warm. I live in the Philadelphia area, which can get pretty cold in the winter, especially when standing on a train platform at 8:00 am or just walking around the city at night.
Hi Erin, don't forget your followers that live in Europe too! It gets cold here in Munich, Germany and this video really helps me. I'm originally from Florida and now live in this winter wonderland. I'm always searching for tips on how to stay warm. Thanks for the video!
Uniqlo all the way for me - heattech base layer, they even do an extra warm option, then merino wool layer, then Ultra Light Down puffer, or their more heavy duty down coat. Heattech beanie hat. All very thin layers, no bulk, no weight. Perfect!
Thank you for this!!! FINALLY a REAL winter dressing.Patagonia’s new capilene thermal baselayer collection is also INCREDIBLY warm and still breathable. It’s also ethically made ☺️
The best and most plausible video about outfits for the "real" cold weather. I live close to the alps. After watching your video, I went straight to get a long packable puffer. Initially my boyfriend didn't get the idea of wearing a long puffer underneath a coat. However, after I styled myself with it, he was blown away by the look and "your" idea. I'm really grateful for your video. Thank you so much!!!
Yay! It gets cold here in northern Finland! Some wear winter over-trousers (like a windbreaker) over the jeans to stay dry. My puffer is super long and covers my knees. Whether that is fashionable or not, I wouldn’t give it up! Favorite boots are suede, lace up with leather thong, and never forgetting the knitted leg warmers.
This video is so helpful! I'm a Florida girl and I'm going on a business trip to Quebec in March so I have absolutely no idea how to dress for that kind of weather and you've taught me so much! Every other video or article I've read seems to be geared more for people who already live in cold places when I don't even own a scarf or a coat....
I love Heat 32 degrees by Macy’s for my under layers. I live in the NE, so I wear them EVERYDAY. I would definitely recommend them the cause they are cheap and cheerful~ only $10. All the best😊
FINALLY!!! FINALLY!!!!! Now you're talking. Thank you so much for this video. I am from Brazil and moved to Washington DC and had no idea of what to wear. I struggled a lot to stay warm. Tried to follow tips of other videos and always wondered if they ever felt cold in those clothes or it was just me who is not used to this weather. they had no idea of what they're talking about.
I'm amazed that I'm as old as I am and this idea of staying warm AND being fashionable has NEVER crossed my mind. Wow. I will be implementing the wool coat over my puffer ASAP! Such a great topic, Erin, and I appreciate how you took time to video the layers! XO
Yes! I feel like I’m part Canadian since I lived so close to the border for so long. 😉 I used to get my hair cut in Kingston. I learned French because of all the French Canadian radio and TV I used to listen to.
Luv this! I am a Canadian 🇨🇦and a hockey mom who has been looking for a really long time for someone who actually knows style for real cold weather. You get it! Thank you 🙏🏻best video on this topic so far!
Thank you for sharing this. I just moved to Michigan last August from California. I need this. After watching this, I'm ready to face the winter in Michigan :). Thank you so much
Actually it is the same almost. You have a layer (as many as you want) which is suitable to wear under the shirt, if you wear that (I don't know what is you regular outfit). Than comes the shirt. Than the jumper. You should fold out the collar onto the sweater. You can tuck the shirt in, it is hanging' on the style of the shirt and the pullover. If the shirt and the sweather is like oversized, than leave it like that, and if it is more bodyshape follower, than it is better to tuck in.
Wonderful and sensible! I walk a lot in 0 degree temperatures and add leg warmers to my layers. They work great under or over slacks and are an easy layer to remove.
This is very realistic tips for really cold weather. Finally! I’ve always wonder where the youtubers get their wool coats that can keep them warm so well?! Because even though I buy expensive ones, they do not keep me warm when its snowy and minus 15-20 degrees celsius. And your outfits are so chic! Thank you!
I’m in Nebraska, this is an excellent video! Even though this video has been out for awhile, it’s currently February and I am sick of wearing coats! It’s been great to watch this and get some new ideas, and winter wear is going on sale for the end of season, I’m looking for a new puffer and a topper type coat. Thanks for these options.
OMG Thank You soooooo much for this video!! I was born and raised in the Caribbean and I have NEVER seen snow therefore, I have never been in any type of Super Cold weather. But after seeing this video I feel like I can conquer the Snow Winter Weather!!! I really appreciate it!! Cheers
Yes! Those not to do tips. When I see those posts with those articles of clothing for winter I always think, um not here in Denver. Great tips. Thank you.
I live in Canada and I am so happy you created this video! Hands down when the cold wind is hitting your face (including snow, freezing rain, -20 to -30 degrees) you don't care how you look like. So thrilled to have found your channel! This is exactly what I've been searching for. Currently I live in one of the sunniest parts of the country (US) (I'm talking nearly 360/365 days of sunshine) but soon moving to a state with sub-zero temps that averages 50+ inches of snow during winter. Of course, I want to look fabulous! Happy to have found your channel!
I live in the UK and despite the lack of snow, the rain and wind is real in January, so definitely a warm waterproof coat or parka - Seasalt Cornwall have some amazing ones where you can add or remove inner puffer layer and have effectively 3 coats in one. Highly recommended. Take care Erin xxx
Awesome video. I'm here in Georgia, but traveling to Iceland and lived up north for some years. There is an art to dressing for cold weather. Nailed it!! Excellent video👏🏽 I’m from Chicago and it gets really cold here in the winter. And it’s always a struggle to stay warm and cute at the same time.
I was near Montreal in Jan 2020 and it definitely was -23C and windy❄❄❄😂😂😂I can not remember how many layers I had but they saved my butt definitely😂😂😂
This is amazing, Erin! So incredibly helpful! This is really why I love your channel...you don't just show all the cute looks like so many bloggers- these are so functional and realistic to wear day to day!
Great 👌 This is what we have to wear in Finland where it gets around -20°C or lower in the winter. Keeping your feet, hands and head warm is the key! ⛄
My sister and I got stranded (and flat tire) in Watertown for a weekend years ago with our daughters (had the best most memorable time ever). Bought the best suede jacket there. Everyone was extremely friendly and joyful. Thank you for reviving the memory. Great tips! One tip I have to add is to tuck your top base layer into your bottom base layer.
I can see your very kind and caring personality through this video. I’m going to very cold place for my Christmas and new year vacation so it was really helpful! Thank you so much♥️
Busbee Style thank you! I literally just showed my boyfriend the videos 😊 we laughed and had a great time watching and taking notes:) I’m really in love with my boots, I have at least 6 pair, I took a lot of time selecting them and was a bit of an investment, my favorite things ever! Polar fest is this week, they built an ice castle right by my house, I’ll use some of your tips when I go! Thank you!!!

Hey Erin.........yup, we know all about the cold wind chills here in Eastern Canada ! So happy to hear from someone who “gets it”! I live just outside of Syracuse and was pleasantly surprised to hear you were from Watertown, but that explains your understanding of the cold, lol. I love the idea of layering with a thin puffer coat, I had never thought of that. Thank you for being real.
Trisha, yes Erin definitely does mean business when it comes to tackling the intense weather. I also had never thought of wearing a thinner puffer as an undercoat. This video really taught me a lot. And now I don't dread the coming cold thanks to learning all this. Thanks Erin.
That's exactly how we dress in Poland 🤗 I could say we Mastered it 😆 Sometimes. ..I put thin and short Down jacket ( comes in handy little bag ) on the top of thin Jumper( in your case cashmere )....but underneath the Puffer Jacket... As you mentioned. ..the key is layering 🤗 Also I Always make sure when am choosing a coat or jacket if Sleeves have thight Cuffs around hands. It does simply stop the Draft😜 Where did you go for your recent trip to Poland, Hun?
Smart Wool also makes some really great layers in a variety of weights. They also feel very comfortable (sometimes hard to find with wool). Great video!
Beloved Erin. Thanks to you, I now look forward to winter. I love getting dressed up these days thanks to all your fashion ideas and inspiration. This video really did inspire me to invest in some ''heavy-duty'' puffers and how to layer up. From my coat/s to hats to scarves... everything I wear these days are things that make me feel good about myself (and also keep me warm) thanks to all your videos. I wish everyone can watch them. I have watched your videos so many times and recommended them so others can also learn how to dress appropriately for not only the cold weather, but in general for their body type/shape etc. You're a star Erin. Much love from the UK.
Good ideas! I've been doing serious puffer with blanket scarf or open with fur vest underneath. I still like tall Hunters in winter for slushy puddly days or after a foot of snow fall because it keeps snow from soaking your pants or falling into the top of your boot. 2 pair good socks makes it work.
This was such a useful video! Especially for those in the Northeast right now. Thank you 🙏. I own the Moncler long puffer coat with hood and fur trimmed collar. I think it’s amazing for warmth. Thanks to you I’ll be adding the thermal undergarment 😃. Xoxo 😘 Deb

Shes THE NICEST woman who made it the easiest decision to 'buy now'. So excited! Thanks Erin for always giving great recs and supporting entrepreneurial women!!
Excellent tips. I am a 67 yr old native Chicagoan where we have winters. I h-a-t-e being cold. I abhorred last winter's 'polar vortex' - I had to go out in that cold to drive my hubby to physical therapy (for some reason he scheduled his surgery in winter)...That mittens tip is great - did not realize mittens are warmer - I always wore leather gloves lined in cashmere..the fleece headband is a good tip, too. I crochet my hats and recently got a hat commission, I'll add a fleece headband from now on. I 'run cold' so my fave discoveries are to 'always wear an undershirt/base layer, only buy coats, jackets and sweaters with hoods, wear merino wool socks, and boots with Thinsulate. During the polar vortex to keep my feet warm, in edition to merino socks and my insulated boots, I also wrapped my feet in thin mylar from a survival blanket.....
Watched this before moving into Canada. well detailed and will try these in the coming winter. Thanks a lot for all the effort put into give us an idea of how to face it. Thanks again!
When you mentioned Texas cold that made me laugh. I’m born and raised in Texas and I would be burning up in these outfits lol. Our winter is only like 50 degrees 😂
Canada Goose , sorrel boots , tights under alpaca socks , gloves under mittens, a silk scarf then the heavy wool. I found wearing a silk scarf stops the wool scratching and pilling. The two gloves makes it also easy for laundering. This is the extra layers I use on top of what you suggest. It can get real cold in the mountains!
Love this video, I really struggle not to look like a bag lady in the damp London weather and these tips will definitely help. For an affordable base layer I have been wearing Uniqlo heat tech undergarments. Seems to be working well but it hasn't got supercold here yet.
Thank you, from a Canadian, for showing winter outfits for those who have very cold winters (below zero degrees Celsius). This is the first time I have watched a “winter wardrobe” video for what I consider “winter” (in my experience). However, I would suggest is that you mention specific temperatures, it would be less confusing if you specify whether you are using Celsius or Fahrenheit. At first, when you said zero degrees or in the teens, I thought you meant Celsius. Later on, you said 40s or 50s, so I guess you are using Fahrenheit. Thank you for a great video; very very informative.
Thank you for your quick reply. Yes, I should have realized that. Sorry but I guess I am too detail-oriented. Wonderful video. The best winter wardrobe video I’ve ever seen. You obviously put a lot of thought and work into it.
Hey, thank you so so much for this extremely helpful video. I'm from Tucson, AZ and I'm moving to Chicago. Complete opposite in climate lol and I've been trying to prepare and learn as much as possible. All things warm but also try to look a little cute. This REALLY helped me out!!! So so so jealous!! I would love a white Christmas, and to experience snow. I know it's freezing and it would get very tedious and aggravating after a while ...... but it's so much easier to get warm than to get cool. Sitting here sweating as I write this as it's so hot, and the cold looks so inviting.
Thank you for this timeless valuable video about layering, staying warm and functionally stylish! Just wanted to add that Mackage and Rudsak are some Canadian brands that are really stand out in terms of warmth and style...not just Canada Goose.
Thank you for providing one of these style guide options for *real* cold severe winter weather. Last winter I went hunting for advice and all I could find were ones that were clearly designed by people who've only lived in temperate climates and just made me feel worse. Between NYC and Toronto now where I am constantly out in the cold as a pedestrian and transit user, I need actual severe cold weather options that don't make me choose between feeling like a schlump or freezing solid.
Hi Erin! I live in New England and its a know fact that the winters up here are brutal lol. I've found that the Michael Kors coats, particularly the down puffers, are not only stylish but keep me nice and warm during the freezing weather we get up here. I have one of the longer down puffer coats and I love it.

I was going to take rain boots with me instead of buying real snow boots but you've convinced me otherwise haha! I was also gonna just do ear muffs and hoodie but considering taking taking a hat now!
It is most important to keep your feet and your head warm. I would definitely recommend a pair of real winter snow boot (something like this... rstyle.me/+s2CYBWZih4Rckq1bNyKZqw ) and a real hat. Enjoy your trip! xo

***MY TIP*** My mom always told me to tuck in the base layer to keep your back warm. I live in the Philadelphia area, which can get pretty cold in the winter, especially when standing on a train platform at 8:00 am or just walking around the city at night.
Gail Leone YES! Tucking in keeps heat sealed in. I also find that applying thick lotion onto your body also helps keep that heat sealed in.
I remember going to Harrisburg, PA from Texas for a job interview and it was cold cold. Needless to say I did not accept the job offer.
train platform cold is just another type of cold
Hi Erin, don't forget your followers that live in Europe too! It gets cold here in Munich, Germany and this video really helps me. I'm originally from Florida and now live in this winter wonderland. I'm always searching for tips on how to stay warm. Thanks for the video!
so glad to hear that!! ~Erin xo
Hello I live in Munich as well and I'm not german. However, I don't think that it gets that cold here like Canada or north USA or other places
It's currently summer here in nyc but I'm preparing for winter lol. This video was helpful and you're super pretty!
Heeeeey!!! Kelly Stamps! Now this video is gonna come in so handy in Boston!
I live in Toronto, and I 100% agree with these methods. Uniqlo has great heat-tech base layers and lightweight, packable puffers :)
Uniqlo all the way for me - heattech base layer, they even do an extra warm option, then merino wool layer, then Ultra Light Down puffer, or their more heavy duty down coat. Heattech beanie hat. All very thin layers, no bulk, no weight. Perfect!
Uniqlo's Ultrawarm heatech is the warmer than Extrawarm.
@@Neednoy2 ooo, I haven't tried that one yet! 👍
I love their airism bras and undies in the winter to keep you from sweating under all the base layers!!
How come bulky layers aren’t good?
I'm so glad that you found this helpful! These tips are great for the extreme cold, which I'm sure you experience in the Alps. xo
I'm so glad that you found this helpful. I bet it gets really cold during the winters in Finland. Stay warm! xo
Busbee Style Thank you!
Best real winter video 👌
I'm so glad, thank you! xo
XO
So glad to hear that! ~Erin xo
As a latin, who is going to canada, this info is priceless ❤️ thanks!!
You are going to be so prepared!!
Thank you so much. We in arctic, windy, snowy, below zero Chicago need this!
Layering is definitely the secret for staying warm. Thanks for showing how to do it so stylishly and for the shout out to Canada 🇨🇦⭐️
I'm so glad, Diane! xo
Thank you for sharing this. I just moved to Michigan last August from California. I need this. After watching this, I'm ready to face the winter in Michigan :). Thank you so much
Thank you, Yulianty! I'm glad that you found this helpful! xo
ThAnk you for this great information. Can you do a video on wearing dresses in the winter and still looking professional?
I second that, it's a real struggle to look office appropriate when it's freezing out
Same for me. Please
Thank you!
You're so welcome! Cold is relative. I live in Colorado where it gets super cold, so I've had to find creative ways to dress. xo
That's great! I'm so glad that you found this helpful! xo
Thanks for sharing! I've been wearing the same winter jacket for most of the 6-month winter in Canada. Will be glad to try some of the layering ideas!
I'm so glad that you found this video helpful! xo
OMG Thank You soooooo much for this video!! I was born and raised in the Caribbean and I have NEVER seen snow therefore, I have never been in any type of Super Cold weather. When I think ok.....this is the year for me to go see the snow........ what holds me back is the fact that I own NO WINTER clothing and I have no idea how to layer or what to buy. But after seeing this video I feel like I can conquer the Snow Winter Weather!!! I really appreciate it!! Cheers
Sometimes buying it there is a good idea. Either second hand or new... would need to be planned out well, but still
Thank you for showing proper cold weather attire. I roll my eyes so hard at some others. You look great in this video, btw.
This video is EXACTLY what i was looking for. You were informative, and provided links and options!!! YASSSS!
Thank you, Wendy! I am glad that you found it helpful.
Just moved from Florida to New Jersey. Definitely not looking forward to the winter, but with your tips make it much easier. Thank you!
THANK GOD FOR YOU. These ytbers look so cute but it's not practical at all!! You really made it work for me. Im looking stylish now bc of you!
Thank you! xo
deniicebunniie, I AGREE, agree, agree, agree on all the points you stated. Can't thank God enough for Erin.
Yes! Those not to do tips. When I see those posts with those articles of clothing for winter I always think, um not here in Denver. Great tips. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful, Dawn! xo
I live in Canada and I am so happy you created this video! Hands down when the cold wind is hitting your face (including snow, freezing rain, -20 to -30 degrees) you don't care how you look like. The person who is walking down the street dressed appropriately is the smartest. NOW... the real reason I wrote a comment are the UGG Pax Wedge... I BOUGHT THEM!!!!! They look so good on you Erin that I NEEDED them in my life. I am waiting for the courier... I really hope they are warm and can help me to avoid slipping on ice.
I was thinking the same. When it is freezing outside, you eventually don't care how you look just to be warm😂😂😂Good look is just a bonus😊😁
Great timing for us on the east coast! I also add a thin puffer vest under my packable puffer.
Yes! I do that too... I have a black and cream one and alternate between the two. Great reminder!!! TFS
Could you suggest some good brands for a thin puffer vest
@@kirthimalladi7785 I got mine from Uniqlo and Eddie Bauer- ascent line.
Great video, Erin! I live in Northern Minnesota where my town gets the national low several times a year! These are all great tips and tools! Finally, someone on TH-cam that truly understands cold weather gear! Going to order the Kendal and Kylie jacket, great find! Thanks!
Yay!! ~Erin xo
Yes!!!
@@BusbeeStyle Ordered the coat, love that green! That's 2 great coats you've suggested (also purchased the ALF suede coat), although all your suggestions are great! I'm a jacket/coat fanatic...there's no shame in my game when you live in them 6 months out the year in Northern Minnesota! 😁 Considering the ALF coat also but I think that particular color may not be right for my complexion/hair color. Thanks again, Erin! Stay warm! ~Jacquie
Welcome...I'm so glad that you found my channel. I live in Colorado so I know all about really cold winters. Good luck with your move. xo
I hate being cold, but when you learn how to dress for the weather it can change your outlook and you begin to enjoy all the fun activities winter offers. Thanks Erin!
You are so right!! ~Erin xo
Nailed it!! Excellent video👏🏽 I’m from Chicago and it gets really cold here in the winter. And it’s always a struggle to stay warm and cute at the same time.
Love all the different options.I had not idea how to dress for cold weather because I am from L.A. and this really helps. Thanks!
Thank you thank you thank you
It was a bit warmer today -10°c
But the last couple days it was -23°c and windy.
In Mississauga and Toronto here.😊
Thank you, Sue! I'm glad that you found this video helpful! It sounds like these suggestions will come in handy with those temperatures! xo
I was near Montreal in Jan 2020 and it definitely was -23C and windy❄❄❄😂😂😂I can not remember how many layers I had but they saved my butt definitely😂😂😂
I live in northern Michigan and I really appreciate this video! You work so hard on your videos and it shows! Busbee Style is top notch!
Plan to use this cold weather wear guide for my future return trip to Denver in February. Thanks for sharing!!
Thanks for sharing. Great Tip! Thank you, Vanda! xo
I can see your very kind and caring personality through this video. I’m going to very cold place for my Christmas and new year vacation so it was really helpful! Thank you so much♥️
I’m SO glad I could help!! And thank you for your kind words! ~Erin xo
Thank you, finally someone who understands an actual cold winter!
Yes!! ~Erin xo
Yes! I just moved to northern Minnesota:) I’ve collected some very warm pieces, many boots too! Thank you
Thank you, Alysia! You will definitely need some of these tips in northern Minnesota! Stay warm! xo
Busbee Style thank you! I literally just showed my boyfriend the videos 😊 we laughed and had a great time watching and taking notes:) I’m really in love with my boots, I have at least 6 pair, I took a lot of time selecting them and was a bit of an investment, my favorite things ever! We have a ski mountain here, I’ve just started to go, tubing was my first thing lol:) Having the time of my life here! Polar fest is this week, they built an ice castle right by my house, I’ll use some of your tips when I go! Thank you!!!
SO SO Good...I live in VERY COLD weather ...all great tips...Love the headbands...
This was so helpful. I'm going to Italy next week and up north it gets very very cold and snowy but I'm from Australia so the coldest we ever get where I'm from is 50 F. Soooo, I'm basically clueless and you've been a massive help, thank you!
Thank you, Sarah! I'm so glad that you found this helpful! Enjoy your trip to Italy! xo
Pajar is a great pair of boots! Love them also for stylish jackets I like Rudsak.. great video for real cold weather!! ❄️🇨🇦❄️
They do make some really nice warm boots. Thanks for sharing.
Knocked it out of the ballpark sweet Erin ! Devoted Wisconsin fan here , so very appreciative for this fabulous video 👏👏👏❤️Pam
Hey Erin.........yup, we know all about the cold wind chills here in Eastern Canada ! Love, love all that you showed us here, my favs are the gorgeous green faux fur, it looks so pretty on you with shade of hair color, and the belted puffer jacket is everything :) Thanks so much for sharing great tips here, love the scarf idea to keep our faces warm.......wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas, and all good things in the New Year, take care XO
That's exactly how we dress in Poland 🤗 I could say we Mastered it 😆
Sometimes. ..I put thin and short Down jacket ( comes in handy little bag ) on the top of thin Jumper( in your case cashmere )....but underneath the Puffer Jacket...
As you mentioned. ..the key is layering 🤗
Also I Always make sure when am choosing a coat or jacket if Sleeves have thight Cuffs around hands. It does simply stop the Draft😜
Where did you go for your recent trip to Poland, Hun?
Thank you so much, Rose! You are so sweet! I'm so glad that you find my videos helpful! xo
Good ideas! I've been doing serious puffer with blanket scarf or open with fur vest underneath. I still like tall Hunters in winter for slushy puddly days or after a foot of snow fall because it keeps snow from soaking your pants or falling into the top of your boot. 2 pair good socks makes it work.
Loving how you make it all look so stylish, while providing all different price points!!!
This was such a useful video! Especially for those in the Northeast right now. Thank you 🙏. I own the Moncler long puffer coat with hood and fur trimmed collar. I think it’s amazing for warmth. Thanks to you I’ll be adding the thermal undergarment 😃. Xoxo 😘 Deb
I always look at Montcler but worry about cost. You think it’s worth the investment?
Busbee Style I have multiple coats to try to stay warm in nyc between moncler wool rich and mackage. Of the 3 mackage has 90%down where as the other two are either 70%/80%
Greetings from Poland!! We have really cold and snowy winter this year again so your advises work great😊
I'm SO glad you found this helpful! We were in Poland a few years ago! xo
Ive been wanting that 'Russian hat/headband' look since last yr. And of course Erin busts it out like a boss! So i clicked the link and purchased the one from Etsy. Shes THE NICEST woman who made it the easiest decision to 'buy now'. So excited! Thanks Erin for always giving great recs and supporting entrepreneurial women!!
Yay!! ~Erin xo
I'm so glad that you found this video helpful. A good base layer is essential to staying warm.
Watched this before moving into Canada. well detailed and will try these in the coming winter. Thanks a lot for all the effort put into give us an idea of how to face it. Thanks again!
Best advice I got for winter wear, and so well explained, step- by step in logical order. Thank you!!!
Glad it was helpful, Berlene! xo
When you mentioned Texas cold that made me laugh. I’m born and raised in Texas and I would be burning up in these outfits lol. Our winter is only like 50 degrees 😂
Mia Johnson 50° here in Philadelphia is like jeans and maybe a long sleeve shirt!
it's sooo weird to read this when you are used to Celsius lol
Canada Goose , sorrel boots , tights under alpaca socks , gloves under mittens, a silk scarf then the heavy wool. I found wearing a silk scarf stops the wool scratching and pilling. The two gloves makes it also easy for laundering. This is the extra layers I use on top of what you suggest. It can get real cold in the mountains!
Thank you for the suggestions, Suzi! xo
Love this video, I really struggle not to look like a bag lady in the damp London weather and these tips will definitely help. For an affordable base layer I have been wearing Uniqlo heat tech undergarments. Seems to be working well but it hasn't got supercold here yet.
Awesome tip! TFS!
Great video. Yes, it's all about layering and dressing properly to get through these cold New England winters!
Silk is also an amazingly warm base layer. Great video!
As a fashion stylist I appreciated the input of work and thinking by creating these looks Indeed Busbee. Snow Stylish outfits.
Nicely done.
Absolutely on point! Ottawa is bloody frosty and I'm sure this winter won't be different
Thank you, Sharon! We have very cold winters here in Colorado. All temperatures are in Fahrenheit since I'm based in the US. xo
Thanks again, you're the best!!!
Oh wow!! Good luck with the move!! xo
I loved this video. Hoping you do a winter 2022/2023 version.
Great idea!! xo
Thank you for sharing this information, it really is tough to look great while trying to stay warm .
Great video. I just love your little princess in the back, can’t get enough of her and you.
Ive just moved to canada from the UK and this has been super helpful!! Thank you!!
Glad it was helpful! xo
So so so jealous!! I would love a white Christmas, and to experience snow. I know it's freezing and it would get very tedious and aggravating after a while ...... but it's so much easier to get warm than to get cool. Sitting here sweating as I write this as it's so hot, and the cold looks so inviting.
I LOVE the weather here! The only thing I miss about TX climate is a clean car. 😉
Thankyou for your helpful tips!!! I’m not used to the cold and going somewhere this winter so this really helped!!!
I'm so glad that you found this helpful, Joanne! xo
I’m going on a ski trip in 2 weeks, can’t wait to use these cool tips!
Thank you for this timeless valuable video about layering, staying warm and functionally stylish! Just wanted to add that Mackage and Rudsak are some Canadian brands that are really stand out in terms of warmth and style...not just Canada Goose.
Thank you, Tara! Thank you for sharing. I love Mackage as well. xo
@@BusbeeStyle Nobis is another Canadian brand that's equally as warm & even more stylish than Canada Goose.
I love this, I live in Wisconsin and we can get down -30. Great informative video for when the cold is bone cutting. I'm a merino wool base layer!
Perfect! Warm and thin...
Hi Erin! I live in New England and its a know fact that the winters up here are brutal lol. I've found that the Michael Kors coats, particularly the down puffers, are not only stylish but keep me nice and warm during the freezing weather we get up here. I have one of the longer down puffer coats and I love it.
Yes!!! Finally a great winter wear video. I'm in Idaho & it's currently 30 degrees. I moved here from California 3 years ago & im just starting to figure out how to stay warm :) such a helpful video, thank you
Yay! That’s so awesome! No reason you can’t keep your Cali cool in Idaho, just requires a bit more strategy!
Great video, Erin! After to moving To Minnesota 3 years ago, we splurged and bought Canada Goose coats. If you ever wonder if they are worth the money- they are!!! I can wear my coat in extreme cold and it keeps my core so warm that I sometimes get hot. Stay warm this holiday season 😘
Hello from Northern Ontario (14 hours northwest from Toronto)! These are great fall weather tips where I live now (single tear lol). Still searching for enough stylish ideas for -20F and colder for winters that's not just a snowmobile suit and tundra boots. Even still, love this video and your content!
Wow...that is COLD! Hopefully this video gave you some ideas! xo
Great info and tips in this video, thanks! That emerald green coat is gorgeous.
I love Save The Duck. I got one of their long line puffa coats a couple of years ago and it's one of the warmest coats I've ever had. It uses Primaloft technology so it's both light and warm. Lots of love from Yorkshire, England x
I love the idea of using a puffer under a cute wool coat!
This is a great video!! I'm from California and I'm going to Canada in January. I have no clue with how to deal with real winter (we get "cold" here when temps get down in the 50s-60s).
Enjoy your trip! xo
@@BusbeeStyle Thank you so much!
Im going to canada on the 18th ! Im from los angeles , i have no idea what im getting myself into lmao 🥴 i was literally just going to take my uggs and hoodies and a jacket 😂
Thank you for suggesting the puffer. It is 30 degrees and below in NY, and I had absolutely no idea what to do with the lighter coats. Your advice opens up so many options.
So glad to hear that! ~Erin xo
This is an awesome video! Love all your ideas! I would love to see a video on different types of hats we could wear in the snow for different face shapes :)
Yes, I agree!!
