For me Nokia Lumia does something like that. The problem is that I did not find anything on Microsoftos 8.1 and their side. The apps went pretty fine, but I did not wipe it out. At the end of the week, nothing went wrong, then the phone started running again. then it does not turn on when I plug it on the charger. Nokia Asha and so are not going to messaging, in spite of the many reinstallations of the factory, the phone, and the old one has been saved all. His memory is embedded. And it's not even Microsoft, but since it's bought it, Nokia does not have support.
