I am so deeply blessed by Elder Nikon. About six months ago, the Holy Spirit "gifted" me with Elder Ephraim of Arizona and St. Joseph the Hesychast. I am a Roman Catholic, but I think my days as one, are numbered. My entire spirit is filled with awe and inexpressible joy and delight as I read and study about their lives of deep, deep faith and holiness. In some ways, I feel that Elder Nikon is a wonderful and caring gift from them both. Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me...
Evloyison! We are very happy to hear that you found Orthodoxy, the only true and ancient Church of the Apostolic years and you are ready to become part of it. It's about time.
Many Roman "Catholic" (a term used in Orthodox - Nicene - Creed) Christians don't realize that before the Great Schism in 1054 A.D., they were actually Orthodox themselves who went strayed away from the only Truth, the original and unaltered teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Now, it would be nice to come and visit us in Mount Athos, Elder Nikon would be very happy to meet you in person and talk in depth about your new path in spiritual and eternal life.
You feel right indeed, St. Joseph the Hesychast is the grandfather, and Elder Efraim of Arizona the father of (our) Elder Nikon. There is a published homily in our channel devoted about my Elder's Elder (Efraim), in case you haven't watched it yet. --f.P monk (one of the many grandchildren)
@@ElderNikon It would be the thrill of a lifetime to come to Mount Athos and a deep honor to meet with your Elder. However, it is beyond what I can do at this time.
There would be financial hurdles coming from the United States. And, my beloved wife is medically frail which means I have to be close by.
My hope is to visit the Saint Nektarios Monastery in Roscoe, New York in the near future. It states on the website that this monastery was established by Elder Ephraim. This is something I can do, because it is only a two hour drive from our home.
I am praying for you, and I hope you will continue to pray for me. I am very weary. I am 65 years old. In my family growing up, there was zero practice or experience of faith. In my early twenties, I encountered God and entered the Protestant Church. At the age of forty, I became a Roman Catholic.
This is a lot to work through. And, I desperately need help. I pray just that to both St. Joseph and Elder Ephraim -- please help me, I am in desperate need of your prayers and intercessions.
Evloyison! Becoming an Orthodox, it's just a matter of decision and finding an ordained Orthodox priest to do the baptism sacrament. Any of Elder's Efraim monasteries will be able to help you to this decision for sure.
Internet gave the ability to many to meet Orthodoxy for the first time and find out the truth that lies to the one and only ancient Church that the Apostles founded.
It's never too late, we all know that, because the Lord awaits and accepts even the workers of the 11th hour as He does we all the rest. Take it seriously inside you and the Holy Grace will help you to achieve it before departing from this life.
Regarding meeting Elder Nikon, you could have the chance to meet him in the USA couple of weeks ago he was there, at the time you wrote the first comment! He recently returned back from there, he does travel to the USA once per year to visit his Elder (and the in last years its tomb).

Ο γέροντας επιδει έτυχε και τον γνώρισα και τον ξανασηναντησα,τον όρο που λέει για τον μαρμαρομενο βασιλιά και για το ξανθό γένος δεν τα αναρει,απλά λέει μην περιμένουμε τι θα γίνει, να ειμαστε εδώ να πιστευουμε να προσευχόμαστε να εξομολογουμαστε να κοινωνουμε και ότι είναι να γίνει ας είναι ευλογημένο!Επιτέλους ο διάβολος έχει αυτή την τριπλα σε κάνει να σκέφτεσαι το παρελθόν άμα είχε γίνει έτσι θα ήταν αλλιώς,αλλά και με το μέλλον αν θα γινει θα κάνω αυτό αλλιώς αν είναι κάτι διαφορετικό θα κάνω εκείνο...Μας βάζει να ασχολούμαστε με αυτά και ξεχνάμε το τώρα αφού σήμερα ζούμε τώρα,αύριο που θα ξέρουμε αν ζούμε για να σχεδιάζουμε για την αλλη μέρα,εβδομαδα,μήνα,χρονο;Όπως λέει και ο λαός όταν κανουμε σχέδια ο θεος γελάει μαζί μας!Καλή δύναμη για μετάνοια να μας χαρίσει ο καλός Ιησούς Χριστός μας ο κύριος μας!κύριε Ιησού Χριστέ ελέησον ημάς!

Δεν ανατρέπει φίλε μου ο Γέρωντας τίποτα, Ο Χριστός μας λέει ότι ανατρέπει. Ήθελε να καταστρέψει την Νινευη Ο Χριστός και επειδή μετανόησε ο λαός μετάνιωσε και Ο Θεός.Θελει να μας πει με λίγα λόγια πως αν κάνουμε τον αγώνα μας και γίνουμε υγιείς χριστιανοί έτσι όπως μας θέλει Ο Χριστός δηλαδή, πιθανόν να αποφευχθούν καταστροφές που μέλουν να γίνουν όπως έχει γίνει και στο παρελθόν.
Είπε ποτέ ο οποιοσδήποτε Άγιος ότι αύτά που σας λέω είναι προφητείες?Όχι κανένας....Οι μόνες πραγματικές 100% προφητείες είναι αυτες στην παλαιά και στην καινή.
