Have you ever read Armor Wars? Tony Stark committed an act of war against a foreign country (not his first), capitol murder, espionage, treason, MANY counts of assault, destruction of personal property, destruction of government property, and perjury. And that was only on one occasion. Think about all the crimes he committed in Civil War!

Bullet wounds are NOT simple. Looking back at when she was shot, there would have probably been damage to several major organs, not to mention all the tissue and blood vessels that would have been torn.

This is one of the big reasons people are split on Civil War as a concept. Interesting idea, but the execution relies on every single person involved making the stupidest possible choices to back their decision, all at the same time, and being able to effortlessly see the flaws in everyone else's deeply enough to have an earnest point with their criticisms while never once thinking about how they arrived to their decision.
It's so dumb. You already can't be charged for a relative's crimes. There's nothing they can charge tony with for helping a relative of a fugitive which he helped put in danger in the first place. Even if they sentence him, what jury will condemn him?
This is my first time fully seeing this run of Spider-Man, and I have to admit, it’s a wonderful read, unfortunately I already know what happens with MJ, Peter and May in the end. Those little teases the writers dropped within the dialogue: “I’d sell my soul”, the one about supernatural beings…It’s such a slap in the face, even all these years later, and it’s even sadder to see that it’s STILL affecting 616 Peter to this day.
One More Day has some cool moments, but the overarching plot and the resolution is genuinely terrible. The idea that none of these super-scientists or masters of magic could cure a gunshot wound (even in a frail old lady) is ridiculous and the lengths peter goes to save her, what he gives up for it, it definitely fits his character but its such a bad resolution. I feel like the better resolution would have been for him to receive Mephisto's offer, but before accepting he sees Aunt May one last time, she regains consciousness enough to say goodbye, tell peter how glad she is knowing that he still has MJ and that she wouldn't trade his happiness for anything. As well as how proud she is of him, knowing he will always do the right thing. All allowing peter to come to terms with her impending death. That a deal with the literal devil isn't the right thing to do, isn't what Aunt May would want. The death of Aunt May could then have some impact (because now if they kill her off later, it cheapens what peter sacrificed) as a lasting casualty of the civil war, something both Peter and Tony have to live with.
Right after the conclusion of Civil War, so many of Marvel's writers hated the ending so much that they had Iron Man get a brutal beatdown any chance they got. People absolutely HATED Iron Man back then, it wasn't until the first Iron Man film came out that people started liking Iron Man again.
Thor returning to Earth after being absent from Civil War and beating the shit out of Tony for cloning him was one of the best highlights of Civil War. As someone who loves older Iron Man comics, Civil War was a character assassination of Tony Stark.
Hell I STILL hate Iron Man. The MCU tried to redeem him but killed him off too soon. To this day the only Iron Man I like is the one from Armored Adventures

The argument can be made that those things happened to Pete because he went against Tony; but the truth is that the SHRA was a horrible thing that would have been stopped by the Supreme Court before it ever took effect. After all, Peter had already registered - it's not like he 'unregistered', he just quit going along with Stark demanding he commit inhumane and arguably illegal actions.
Two things you never mess with when it comes to Spidey: MJ and May. The only reason why the majority of his rogues gallery are still alive is the fact that Spiderman keeps both May and MJ from harm. Which lets them "off the hook". If either one dies, especially May, its a death sentence. Iron Man is simply lucky he is an Avenger and Tony Stark. If he was a villian, I don't think Tony would have walked away from this.

the thing is, this was Stark's fault. he convinced Peter to unmask himself and said everything would be fine. now he calls Peter a wanted criminal and says the next time he'll arrest him. Stark doesn't understand that without his suit, the only thing he has is his money. he doesn't help people because he cares about the world. he does it to satiate his ego. he can say that his company doesn't make weapons any more but that suit is a weapon. Theres something WILD about the fact Peter was legit going to go full super villian if he couldn't get the money. I kind of want to see a universe where Tony continued to go full asshole and not help him out. A legit Villian Peter who at this point Dabbed on the Kingpin could have easily took over his criminal enterprise and just rolled with it. Even when the Civil war ended I could see him being a problem for the Avengers to deal with in the future.
My first thought was, how was Tony controlling the armor by thought, when he wasn't wearing anything on his head. My second thought was how lucky Tony was that Pete hadn't lost control, because without that helmet, one spider-punch in the face and he would have been done.

If I was Spider-Man, I would not have gone to Iron Man; I would've gone to see Mister Fantastic. He of all people would've been able to figure something out health wise.
Mister Fantastic was his next stop. Well, his next stop was actually Doctor Strange, who used a spell to let him visit and beg for help from Mister Fantastic, Doctor Doom, and a bunch of other super geniuses, sorcerers, and healers. Not a single one of them could heal a bullet wound. It's the most out of character thing ever that Doctor Doom didn't immediately move heaven and earth to heal May the moment he heard Reed Richards admit he couldn't do it.

Peter saw Stark as a Father figure and was on his side because he trusted him even though he felt it was wrong. After seeing Tony locking up other superheroes in the negative zone without a trial and killing Goliath with a clone of Thor, Peter couldn't ignore his conscience and switched sides.
Spiders as insects are superbly underrated. People underestimate whats smaller than them because if people actually got some powers from insects, they would be deadly in reality, especially the villains.
Spider arent's insects though, they are arachnids, different group of a family, also scorpions are arachnids too, ironically, knowing one of Spidey's enemy is Scorpion

Marvel has really mishandled Iron Man over the years. Making him both basically a villain and a punching bag for other heroes. In this case both at the same time.
I was particularly satisfied after wondering how nobody recognized the recently revealed face of a famous superhero AND fis famous fashion model/actress wife they revealed the doctor knew all along who he was. That the doctor’s “Mr…..Morgan was it?” was because he had trouble remembering the bogus name Peter gave. And I would have been more satisfied if it was revealed that most of the staff knew but were grateful enough to Spidey to cover for him, and maybe even coerce any snitches to be quiet.

No, it doesn’t. And in the REALLY early issues of Spider-Man (before issue 50) he did give her a transfusion, then a few issues later had to fight Doc Ock for a serum to cure her from the radiation poisoning.

So, I love and hate this storyline. I love the emotional turmoil they put on Peter, the stakes, and the cause. However, like everyone else, I hate the ending. I used to believe that if a story has an amazing run until the stupid ending, then it doesn't negate how good the story is. I was wrong. Spider-Man's whole journey was filled with nothing but downhill spirals, and having it end with him selling his marriage was the most uncharacteristic thing that should've happened. Not uncharacteristic of Peter, but rather uncharacteristic of what Spider-Man is. Marvel has the issue where they just can't seem to kill off characters or leave them dead, and I swear to God it ruins their stories. When Spider-Man PS4 showed us that Peter had to choose responsibility over saving his aunt, THAT was what Spider-Man is about, THAT is a good storyline, and THAT is an excellent ending. How the Marvel writers couldn't spin this into a story about grief and responsibility is beyond me.

This is my first time fully seeing this run of Spider-Man, and I have to admit, it’s a wonderful read, unfortunately I already know what happens with MJ, Peter and May in the end. Those little teases the writers dropped within the dialogue: “I’d sell my soul”, the one about supernatural beings…It’s such a slap in the face, even all these years later, and it’s even sadder to see that it’s STILL affecting 616 Peter to this day.

One More Day has some cool moments, but the overarching plot and the resolution is genuinely terrible. The idea that none of these super-scientists or masters of magic could cure a gunshot wound (even in a frail old lady) is ridiculous and the lengths peter goes to save her, what he gives up for it, it definitely fits his character but its such a bad resolution. I feel like the better resolution would have been for him to receive Mephisto's offer, but before accepting he sees Aunt May one last time, she regains consciousness enough to say goodbye, tell peter how glad she is knowing that he still has MJ and that she wouldn't trade his happiness for anything. As well as how proud she is of him, knowing he will always do the right thing. All allowing peter to come to terms with her impending death. That a deal with the literal devil isn't the right thing to do, isn't what Aunt May would want.
The death of Aunt May could then have some impact (because now if they kill her off later, it cheapens what peter sacrificed) as a lasting casualty of the civil war, something both Peter and Tony have to live with.

Right after the conclusion of Civil War, so many of Marvel's writers hated the ending so much that they had Iron Man get a brutal beatdown any chance they got. People absolutely HATED Iron Man back then, it wasn't until the first Iron Man film came out that people started liking Iron Man again.
Thor returning to Earth after being absent from Civil War and beating the shit out of Tony for cloning him was one of the best highlights of Civil War. As someone who loves older Iron Man comics, Civil War was a character assassination of Tony Stark.

@@ECAPS. Tony was a shithead in the MCU - Ultron was created because he talked Bruce into doing something he KNEW the rest of them would try to stop, and that was the basis for the Slokovia Accords, which led the the Avengers not being around in Infinity War, so that entire mess was Stark's fault.
The argument can be made that those things happened to Pete because he went against Tony; but the truth is that the SHRA was a horrible thing that would have been stopped by the Supreme Court before it ever took effect. After all, Peter had already registered - it's not like he 'unregistered', he just quit going along with Stark demanding he commit inhumane and arguably illegal actions.

Two things you never mess with when it comes to Spidey: MJ and May.
The only reason why the majority of his rogues gallery are still alive is the fact that Spiderman keeps both May and MJ from harm. Which lets them "off the hook". If either one dies, especially May, its a death sentence.
Iron Man is simply lucky he is an Avenger and Tony Stark. If he was a villian, I don't think Tony would have walked away from this.
Core personality flaw with Tony, he sees a problem, tries to fix it, and immeadiately over corrects. Armor Wars was the same way.

the thing is, this was Stark's fault. he convinced Peter to unmask himself and said everything would be fine. now he calls Peter a wanted criminal and says the next time he'll arrest him. Stark doesn't understand that without his suit, the only thing he has is his money. he doesn't help people because he cares about the world. he does it to satiate his ego. he can say that his company doesn't make weapons any more but that suit is a weapon. Stark isn't a hero. he's a coward who only cares about himself

My first thought was, how was Tony controlling the armor by thought, when he wasn't wearing anything on his head. My second thought was how lucky Tony was that Pete hadn't lost control, because without that helmet, one spider-punch in the face and he would have been done.

If I was Spider-Man, I would not have gone to Iron Man; I would've gone to see Mister Fantastic. He of all people would've been able to figure something out health wise.
Mister Fantastic was his next stop. Well, his next stop was actually Doctor Strange, who used a spell to let him visit and beg for help from Mister Fantastic, Doctor Doom, and a bunch of other super geniuses, sorcerers, and healers. Not a single one of them could heal a bullet wound.
It's the most out of character thing ever that Doctor Doom didn't immediately move heaven and earth to heal May the moment he heard Reed Richards admit he couldn't do it.

Peter saw Stark as a Father figure and was on his side because he trusted him even though he felt it was wrong. After seeing Tony locking up other superheroes in the negative zone without a trial and killing Goliath with a clone of Thor, Peter couldn't ignore his conscience and switched sides.

Marvel has really mishandled Iron Man over the years. Making him both basically a villain and a punching bag for other heroes. In this case both at the same time.
I was particularly satisfied after wondering how nobody recognized the recently revealed face of a famous superhero AND fis famous fashion model/actress wife they revealed the doctor knew all along who he was. That the doctor’s “Mr…..Morgan was it?” was because he had trouble remembering the bogus name Peter gave. And I would have been more satisfied if it was revealed that most of the staff knew but were grateful enough to Spidey to cover for him, and maybe even coerce any snitches to be quiet.

It is designed to take hits from missiles and explosive weapons . so it would make sense to say that it’s able to take a full punch of Spider-Man’s fist . The moment where an old lady who is dying because of something he caused and he refuses to save her. And to top it all off, he's always been like this. Tony Stark is no hero. Just the public's most beloved villain

Finally a comic book that focuses on the real enemies, like american health care.
So, I love and hate this storyline. I love the emotional turmoil they put on Peter, the stakes, and the cause. However, like everyone else, I hate the ending. I used to believe that if a story has an amazing run until the stupid ending, then it doesn't negate how good the story is. I was wrong. Spider-Man's whole journey was filled with nothing but downhill spirals, and having it end with him selling his marriage was the most uncharacteristic thing that should've happened. Not uncharacteristic of Peter, but rather uncharacteristic of what Spider-Man is. Marvel has the issue where they just can't seem to kill off characters or leave them dead, and I swear to God it ruins their stories. When Spider-Man PS4 showed us that Peter had to choose responsibility over saving his aunt, THAT was what Spider-Man is about, THAT is a good storyline, and THAT is an excellent ending. How the Marvel writers couldn't spin this into a story about grief and responsibility is beyond me.
After seeing this, i can kinda see why peter went through with one more day. Im not saying it was a good idea, i can just see the mindset.
