This time we are reviewing the Fresh World Marketplace buffet on the Discovery Princess ship. We take you on a complete tour of the Buffet for Breakfast,lunch, and dinner and as always give you our personal review on our findings. We must say this is the best buffet we have experienced on a ship yet!

Looks great. Doing a 21 day trip next year with lots of sea days so looking forward to literally trying all the foods.
Not been on Princess since 2007.. but the buffet is a lasting memory, best cruise buffet I've experienced and looks like they've maintained that standard! Also... Hearing Kev say Coookie makes us smile.. great video guys.

My last trip on grand princess i tried buffet on the nite of our cruise they had mountains of prawns also grilled LOBSTER yes you heard me lobster grilled lam cutlets cant remember the rest but that was my first buffet dinner experience

Watched this right before lunch. Couldn’t make up my mind on what to get. Wish they had a big buffet like that around here. A really great vlog. Will have to go to Alaska now. It’s one of the closest cruises to me.

Hey what do you expect when U don't pay premium fare I been on 9 p&O cruises it's ok value for money also I been on princess almost paying 80 per cent more than p&O
But remember p&O staff are second to none also sugar bar is number one in the industry
@@victorkhalil1050 I like p&o been on 6 sailings, 4 msc and 3 royal. Msc have far better passenger engagement, p&o staff are polite but not personalised in any way, understaffed but cheap for the British Market and a great all-rounder.
If price wasn't an issue apart from the beautiful Aroura p&o wouldn't be on the list personally

Good selection of fish and fish curries that's great for me
we are going on the Caribbean princess July 2024 to Greenland and Iceland
Now have all my eaten venues and what i am going to eat sorted, think all the princess ship are roughly the same food wise
Think i am looking forward more to the food than the destination

Hi Gary and yes it was a brilliant buffet ,like you said everything was grouped together. Cant stand it when at a buffet there are odds bits of food scattered about lol. It was lovely quality as well 👌

Hi Janet thanks for watching the videos. Literally as soon as we got off this cruise Princess went and changed how everything works such as the dining/drink packages. The Gigi's pizza we had on here which was included they now charge I believe unless you have a certain drinks package. So we're not aware of how it all works now

Wow, the food looks so amazing! What a variety 😋 Like Kev said, you won't find that on other ships, definitely not on MSC, that for me was the worst food I ate on a cruiseschip or hotel
Kev, I can't swear to it but in the States - well, in the Midwest (Northern Illinois) anyway - angel food cake would have what is called 7-minute icing (or frosting). I wouldn't say it gets "crunchy" but it does get "grainy" due to all the sugar. Also, the icing might develop just a bit of a "crust", or just a little bit of "give". I've never seen angel food cake in layers like that, with what I presume to be custard between the layers, but still it looks delish. Also delish was that photo you inserted of "angel cake" in white, pink and yellow - that looked great! Thanks for the videos; I'm sailing on Discovery Princess to Mexico in late January 2024.

@@anneball4288 I’m sorry to hear of your experience with other passengers. The folks I met were uniformly kind and gracious. There were, of course, a few exceptions but I steered clear of them. Service was outstanding especially my room steward. Food was great; I didn’t find it “excellent” by any stretch but there was plenty of it. The size of the buffet was a bit discombobulating and the gluttony disturbing. Weather was warm in port. Would I do it again? Oh, hell yes!

Nice to see that the World Market buffet stands up to its name and offers food from around the world. Is there also a place called the International Cafe that is open 24 hours? There is one on the Majestic Princess, so just wondering.
Hi yes there was definitely a good mix of food for different nationalities. And yes there is a 24 hour cafe, we show it in our disembarkation video for the Discovery Princess as it was quiet there on out last day so we ate there instead 😁

Not sure, i have just watched the video and there's no sign saying what it is, and as for hot milk i don't remember seeing it but if you ask I'm sure they will get you some

Did you see anyone eating half that food for breakfast, carrots and peas for breakfast or cauliflower, peppers onions and sausages……. I’ve never seen that before
We didnt eat it personally but with them having it out im guessing it must be eaten for breakfast in another culture. Like we said there was 32 difficult nationalities on board which is incredible really 😁

Sure you noticed the difference in the Buffet between the princess and the Arvia you on now. No contest P&O Buffet is poor to say the least

I showed everything on the buffet. Each items label tells what dietary restrictions are on each dish. I get 5 mins before the buffet opens to show the food before everyone gets to eat it
