Hello Anna. What an amazing hotel and in such a great location as well close to Nijo Castle. It's expensive yes but if you've got the money go for it. I would! The room was lovely and spacious. Good facilities. I absolutely loved the garden. A calm oasis. It's even better and more atmospheric at night with the lights. Not sure if I'd have eaten that spicy ramen though. I could easily eat anything hot and spicy years ago but I can't see to do that anymore! Take care of yourself and have a wonderful week.

Anna, that was a real treat, designed very well and I felt every touch was thought out. Although it was a modern building, I felt the view of the garden and adjacent buildings had an ancient feel to them. That touch was throughout the hotel in archways, along walls, etc. The blinds rising were like the curtains of a stage, the world just beyond, also reflected the historic touch. I liked it, plus you had a nice big bed and as many pillows as you wished. Tax season is here as well and all the bits and pieces start arriving. I hope you end up with a rebate when yours are done, Good Luck!! Take Care!!

Dedicating so much of your very soul to each love letter deposited into the comments. Desperately detailing every obsessed thought towards this medium, communicating your lack of self-awareness to one random female and everyone else who visits this space, a never-ending obliviously creepy love letter that you can only hope will sow the seed of entwining the two of you together forever. I've mainly stayed in hotels near Kyoto Station and generally been quite content, quite standard and predictable. However, after watching this video I think on my next visit I need to expand my choices!
Yeah G'day, This looks like somewhere to just immerse yourself in serenity and calm with a good book, a friend, and no urgent business or places to be, so just give me a comfy chair a large window, and sunlight with a book or two and I'm happy.
I haven't been in an American hotel for a good 18-21 years (and I'm only 26) but from my memory, American hotels don't give you shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes, hairbrushes, etc. You'd have to bring your own. This makes me really jealous. 😅
You did a good job here, Solo Female Traveller! And you are right to call the hotel ""Hotel The Mitsui", because that is what is written in the material and the signage. However... I hope that the hotel owners will reconsider, and rename itself "The Mitsui Hotel", or even "The Hotel Mitsui" as that sounds a lot better in English grammar. The article 'the' really shouldn't be in the middle of the sentence!

Arigato for another beautiful video! I am curious why people with tattoos are not allowed in bathing areas etc. I have, myself, only one tattoo that is very meaningful to me, because of my family. It is in honour of my grandfather and i spent over 10 years designing it. He loved to pick blueberries and I did too, to make money for back to school shopping.
£475 will not get you two nights, with meals, in any of the Luxury Hotels in London! Again, the highlight is the garden, but so many lovely, light, touches.

Because most of people with tattoos in Japan are considered as yakuza (especially in the past). So the hotel wants to avoid any troubles.
